I'm #193 got the call and email yesterday.

unfortunately, Z07 and carbon fiber would cause a significant delay, if I want those.
I'd like to get the Z07 package, but not sure if it's worth the wait. I don't plan to track the car.

That's very reasonable and makes a lot of sense. I plan to mostly track the car (still think my C7 is a better looking car and more functional with the big trunk) and it's not getting here until next track season no matter what so I think I'll wait the Z07 out. I also opted to forgo the CF wheels, who knows maybe it will take long enough that I'll have time to save up.

I'm 239 and I got an email yesterday to submit my build.

I was to understand from reading this thread it would be about 3-4 months to get the car once you get the email and send in my build. Is that correct or did I dream it?

btw, I'm not a Z07 build.

In the 900s here and going to hang on it will be a long time to get one if at all. I was really amped up in the beginning and was thinking about paying over sticker but thankfully I held out. What really eased my pain was I recently bought a 2019 ZR1 and that car is just insane so I am fine if it takes a long time. I also have a 23 Stingray convertible so I will be ok for a few years.

Where do you see the Chat Bot?

  • Vehicle Spec.: Z06 (Z07 exposed carbon fiber) HTC, Red Mist, exposed CF wheels, black interior, comp seats
  • May 19 - email to put in my order ($5K additional deposit, $10K total)
  • June 2 - signed build sheet
  • June 23 - allocation available without constraints
  • June 27 - GM confirms order (3000 status)
  • June 30 - NCM reaches out confirming order
  • August 30 - GM produces vehicle (3800 status, VIN received, begin QC hold)
  • Status as of today:
    • Signed all paperwork and paid in full
    • C8Tracker: Vehicle not shown via VIN search
    • Still in QC hold as of today

why did you have to pay if it hasn’t even left the factory?

I just go to Chevy's Corvette website and as you scroll the little chat bubble will show up. You type "hi" to get started. Then type "check order status", then type my order number. It eventually kicks back the status. I've been doing it super late at night and it happens more virtually (my preference), but it seems like during work hours a real agent might answer.

This was more on me, since I wanted to not be the one in the way to slow things down...haha, joke on me now. :/

All depends on how many allocations are going to the list and if you are a lower number or a higher number in the batch of emails. You are a high number so 3-4 months would probably be a dream although dreams do occasionally come true! You have to remember that getting the email to submit your build doesn't mean a whole lot with the way they are doing it in large batches. The first 100 all got the same email at the same time but the latter part of those 100 people did not get a car until nearly a year later. (I was 107 and didn't get my car until 2 weeks ago). When your order actually gets picked up by GM is when you can start getting a little more solid with the timeline. (although recently a lot of cars have been getting stuck in QC for parts availability so that is stretching the timelines)

My initial number was in the 210s and I currently sit in the 190s. I hav not received any emails to submit my build. Yes I have been checking my spam folder. To those that were in the same boat did you continue to wait for the email or did you contact the dealer? I'm sure they are busy and I don't want to add to their mess but I also don't want to be overlooked.

I’m currently #168 and had the same issue in late august. The route that worked for me was calling the corvette team - once someone answered the phone I was able to get my order going. Turned out there was an error in my email address.

Anyone work with Vince?

I have a question, emailed him and have not heard back...

How do you guys turn in your order? By Code, send in the build sheet?

Thanks

For me it was the build and price tool - send in the link you can share at the end.

When your salesman contacts you he will give you forms and instructions. For me, they asked me to send back the link to my build online.

When they are reaching out via these large batch emails to submit builds, is this also when you need to submit the additional $10k deposit along with your preliminary build?
