Im sure Ciocca will catch up, I’m just surprised at the lack of communication. Even though most in this thread is from us sharing where we are with the concierge, it’s still more than people seem to know in the other thread.

Thank you... Hats off to Adam Morin at MM. He noticed that on my current C8 I had front lift, but I did not order front lift for my Z06 and he asked if it was an oversight on my part. I had forgotten to check that box when doing my build, but we got it corrected for my order.
Great catch!

First time dealing with Adam, but he’s doing an amazing job.

Some folks are waiting on important stuff. Reckon there is transplant website where people debate the fairness of what number in line they are for the needed organ? Take a deep breath and share a moment of gratitude with someone. After having done that, you can post up again next Monday and express your angst with the C8 / Z06 issues. Happy Holidays!

I (#77), and I suspect a good number of others, just got an email from Adam confirming I am at Stage 2000. What an amazing job he has done over the last few weeks since the 2nd allocation came out. The MM team has done well. Many of us would not be at 2000 if Chevy had done as well for those below us that want the CF aero.
My build:AO 2LZ coupe,Natural interior w gt2 seating, suede inserts and steering wheel, front lift, black exhaust and orange CCBs. I dropped the CFZ aero and will get that in the aftermarket if I cannot have it added back in before stage 3000. Courtesy delivery.

I am 95 and did get an email and 3 voicemail bc I was in Costa Rica on vacation returning Thursday. I deferred my allocation because I am one of those guys that want z07 with all the VS CF aero. Someone on this forum got lucky today because I deferred, congratulations to whomever got that.
Does GM have a new CF vendor already that is right now producing the VS CF aero parts getting them ready to be shipped to GM in the next week or 2 or is GM at a standstill trying to find a new vendor?

We should clarify - I’m not aware of anyone getting matched to an allocation yet. All of these people, myself included at #59 have entered our build into the system with Adam. We have not been given an allocation.
I wouldn’t expect him to be calling #103 in this busy week if he didn’t have more allocations to fill, but it is possible that not that many have passed and they won’t be paired with an allocation this round.

2006M5:
Not clear on what you are saying. MM has customers submit their build so they have it in their system ready to go. In the case of this allocation, all those low #s that had Carbon fiber (incl painted) aero were contacted and asked if they wanted to remove the CF or wait until it is no longer on constraint. I had CFZ painted low aero and opted to delete it from my order and will (most likely) get my order matched to an allocation this cycle. Adam called me this morning and I said I would delete CFZ. I was out of contact with the email I needed to reply to until quite late in his (EST) day, so I haven't fully confirmed that I've been matched with an allocation although it is very likely. Some higher up have been contacted to do their build so, if MM gets that far, they can be contacted.
Summary, those low #s that want to wait for the constrained CF will not gets cars from this cycle and those that either don't want or removed the CF aero will get cars this cycle, up to the total allocations MM got. If those that were passed by due to CF, their build specs remain in the MM queue, They do not lose their position in the queue.

Silver Lining and Speculations
The Cloud: No CF Aero. Bah Humbug!
The Silver Lining: GM has the capacity, the confidence in quality and the components to accept additional orders for the Z06. Albeit, without CF aero.
The Question: Why no CF aero?!?! I searched and searched, but I could not find a single article attempting to explain the Z06 aero constraint. No supplier bankruptcy’s, no COVID explanations, no vague supply chain “issues” were to be found (by me)……if you have a link to a published article, please share for all, but please avoid reposting speculation commentary.
Inside The Silver Lining: This round of 100% constraint of the CF aero provides GM real world data (via the dealers like MM) as to how many wait list folks are truly committed to the Z07 / aero. If nothing else this is marketing information, material planning and pass through information to the aero supplier or suppliers.
Not much “sunshine” for those irritated Z07 enthusiasts….but maybe it will help brighten the outlook. May the numbers be with you all. 😎

Melting Slicks
With you being #103 that confirms over half are holding off for Z07 (or at least the Stage 1 aero). Anyone over #103 been bumped to 2000 yet?

Thoughts (speculation) on CF Aero constraints:
Historically, overall production of Z07/CF Aero orders are well below current demand.
During initial production, all the enthusiasts want Z07/CF Aero and most of the test fleet had it.
The company contracted to produce CF Aero parts is not going to buy a new building and hire 100% more employees to produce enough CF Aero to satisfy the high demand for CF Aero during initial production.
If they did, they would have to lay off half of their workforce after the initial high demand for CF Aero was over.
Just my opinion.
