So, if I've deciphered this gibberish right, it seems that visible carbon wheels require visible carbon aero and vice versa, but carbon wheels are no longer tied to Z07 only?

This is great news for me!
I want 3LZ with carbon brakes and carbon wheels with a splitter but no high wing.

So you can order the carbon wheels without Z07 package, but still require the CCB's correct? So the money to get them is still about the same, you just don't have to pay the extra like $500 for the Z07 package (over the CCB's) if you don't want it.
Still waiting on an announcement to be able to order the T0G Aero package without the CCB/Z07....

For me the big win there isn't the money, it's not having to run the high wing. Something about it being shaped for rear visibility really killed the credibility for me.

No, because you don't have to order the aero either, so really it can be a 10k savings, but if you get the carbon flash splitter then its like 5k savings.

So, can you just get the CF wheels with out the CCB and Aero pkg?
I was planning on ordering Silver( Non Z07) and maybe getting Forgleine or even be happy with the OEM Machined faced wheels!
Was going to get the mirrors and ground effect pkg in visible CF.
Maybe the wheels would set it off. and if aftermarket wheels will be 6-8K maybe the CF wheels from GM are a bargain for the price?
Won't be tracking the car.

No, but there was recent information that GM is considering offering the carbon fiber wheel calibration for non-Z07 cars
so the implication is that they are also considering offering the wheels as well. With that said, if they do decide to offer them on a non-Z07, Id guess they would require CCBs since the calibration for the wheels includes the lighter CCBs.

I should probably read these threads a little closer sometimes
Great news even if they make you buy the CCBs, the price on these huge carbon fiber wheels are probably the best value going for car. Not being tied to Z07 pricing to unlock that bargain is a good thing.
Even though the offset triggers my OCD lol, Im seriously considering them. Will be one of, if not the biggest performance and feel upgrade options you can check on this car.
