23MY Z06 Build Scheduling Resumes as Shipping Starts
Mods, feel free to combine with any dupe threads, but I wanted to share a quick note that GM just sent me about Z06 production. No major news, but three highlights...
And, here's the first retail Z06 to roll off the line --
- Customer shipping has begun for orders that were already built
- 2023MY orders banks will remain closed through the end of this calendar year
- However, they're going to resume production scheduling for orders already on the books
Hey Michael,
Wanted to provide a quick update on Corvette Z06 – we have been in production since late September and today America’s supercar is officially being shipped to customers.
I’ve attached an image of the first retail 2023 Corvette Z06 that rolled off the line, a 70th Anniversary Edition Z06 with Z07 package in Carbon Flash Metallic. Operation Homefront received $3.6 million from the sale of the first retail Z06 70th Anniversary Edition at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction in January 2022. The car was purchased by Chairman and CEO of Hendrick Automotive Group Rick Hendrick.
Although we previously announced we were no longer accepting additional 2023 Corvette Z06 orders for production through the end of calendar year 2022, we will resume scheduling new Corvette Z06 orders for production this month.
Thanks!

That's a welcome picture.

Are these his three?
600001 = Z06 Coupe - 70th Carbon Flash?
700001 = Z06 Vert - 70th Carbon Flash?
700002 = Z06 Vert - 70th White Pearl?
The second one in that pic looks black, not CF.

They don't build 1,2,3 in sequence. Likely his vert is somewhere on that line.

Wait a minute...
According to certain "experts" on Corvette Forum, NO retail C8 Z06's were going to leave BGA in calendar 2022.
I think it's a conspiracy.

Per the “other” forum there will be more allocations released this month. That’s a positive change since it was previously stated there would be no new allocations until 2023 calendar year.

Well, if they are now shipping customer cars it’s safe to say the rumor/speculation that there was an issue with emissions (or anything else) was completely wrong.
The first customer deliveries should be within the next week.

Per this screenshot there will be more allocations this month. At least that was the take at corvetteblogger https://www.corvetteblogger.com/2022/11/03/another-round-of-z06-allocations-are-planned-for-november/

Of course it was ******* wrong. GM isn't going to announce a car and engine package that wasn't tested to meet USA emission standards. In addition, it hits EU standards which are more strict than USA. People need to stop the conspiracy theories.

You must be new here....
If it weren't for conspiracy theories, most of these guys wouldn't have anything to talk about!
