Let’s sincerely HOPE that GM offers that C8Z06 GT3R is a serious track focused STREET LEGAL car. The rear diffuser likely needs to be simplified and a front nose lift ……..EVERYTHING ELSE……….build it and SELL them to the general public. No tape stripes and replicas .

Carbon fiber light weight buckets, carbon fiber front fenders , light weight carbon hood with front brake ducts and radiator vent sing. the LEDs in the nose are cool. Massive wheels arches for larger wheels and center lock wheels (center locks look cool BUT are actually / truly in real world ….a pain in the *** ) lightweight door cards, titanium exhaust …….take out 300#s and get engine to 700HP.

It’s gorgeous and a USA battle wagon to combat 992 GT3RS and 992 GT2 RS.

Not sure if you were the only actually taking the pic but if so, I was about 5' to your right directly in front of the car. Perfect spot to record the 4-5min intro discussion. I like it and the Z06 behind and the Eray being it in the building :-)

The 4 yellow stripes on the left half are reminiscent of the Corvette Racing Jake's 4 teeth on the left half.

Been to more races of many types than I could count or even remember at this point but have never had interest in one that was 24 hrs long and have not known a single person who had interest in that. My ADHD would preclude me from this in the 1st place.

Beautiful car - Are the door mirrors camera? Notice the thin shape. Will be watching this weekend for sure and attend Sebring later this year.

The C8R bodywork (lack thereof) behind the rear wheels is more interesting than the GT3.

I'd say the GT3 has a cooler hood. Haven't decided which wing I prefer yet.

The livery is boring and I prefer the C8R full yellow for sure.

The C8.R looks much better without the boomerang on the side intakes. They had to add one of the least appealing design elements from the Z06.

Are we getting an all yellow version or are we stuck with this boring grey color only?

You will get many liveries considering it will be sold to other teams with whatever sponsors they have.

Well, I was thinking around $450K, and I was way off. Ladies and Gentlemen, presenting the $735,000 Corvette! (And no, you can’t drive it on the street!)

Unfortunately, $450k was never going to be it, given the price of the other GT3 cars, but I'll wait for more details on the $735k number. I don't necessarily have a reason to doubt Muscle Cars and Trucks, who everyone else is quoting, but just like $450 was hard to believe (being the cheapest of the current GT3 cars), $735 is the most expensive of the GT3 cars by a decent amount. Hard to justify buying a car from a company with not that much history of customer support for 30% more than something like the Porsche. If that number is accurate, wondering if it includes a spares package or something and not just the base car, which would bring pricing somewhat more in-line.

Yes. According to articles from the press release it's $568k plus options. So, hard to see anyone paying $735k for the Z06 if it was an apples to apples comparison, which is why I think there is more to the story.

Default It says right in the R&T artIcle

The 735K price is for the selected teams 20 units.

The customer cars for SRO programs later on will be announced later and deemed to be considerably lower.
