Ron Fellows PDS: z06 COS reminder

GM going forward will have no choice but to extend the program past 1 year the school as of today doesn't have enough Z06's to support all of us to attend within a year of purchase date. As everyone sees as soon as classes are released they are filled.

I learned a lesson the hard way. I had to give up my Sep 9th date due to an eye injury that will take a little time to heal. SM was gracious enough to just move my status to "open date". When the latest openings were announced, I went online and registered for an Apr 12-13 date (1 vacancy remaining). I entered the data and hit "next". I noticed it cleared the field, so I tried again without being sure that my request was processed. It was not! Turns out since I had already paid and was shown with an "open" date, the system would not accept the reservation. Now all of the recently announced openings are filled. Grrrrr

@socalspringmountain Have you made any progress on allowing Z06 owners take the C8 stingray Level 2 and paying the delta in lieu of Z06 COS?
we are now able to use your vin and apply it to level 1 or level 2 class. keep in mind, that it will be in a z51, not a z06 for those programs.
please reach out to our sales staff, for further information and details.

I have a 2023 Z06, got June 23 and I have been trying to get a date but they’re always full so I thought I would do a stingray instead of z06 class and was told I had to pay full price if I did that. Does anyone know what’s going on?

I called on Monday a couple weeks ago as I heard whispers new dates got added that day. That was correct. However when I finally got through to a sales person... they were all sold out. The kicker? They were all sold out.... BEFORE THEY OPENED. Literally every new date sold out prior to them opening on the first day. Apparently American's can sign up online using their VIN but Canadians can't as our VINs don't sync with their system or something, so I guess I am SOL without the possibility of even signing up if things continue as they are. Was flabbergasted when I found that out and was pretty pissed.

For those of you that can't use your VIN (and it seems to take a while to make it to them), get in touch with a sales person, and then when you see dates open, email them what date you want and they can hold it for you. This is what I did, but even then you still have to be quick, they can't hold you dates that have sold out. Probably need to do it within a couple of hours of dates going live on the site....

Does anyone know of a sticky for dates/users? I just signed up for June 10-11th. I just hopes the dates work.

I did manage to get signed up for the March 22/23 class this week. Sales person sent out an email with dates that had not been added online for whatever reason. Happy I am finally all signed up.

Need help…
This is Anthony Coberg,
Been fortunate to have been to Spring Mountain when I got my C7 Stingray Z51 7 spd manual, then returned when I got my C7 Z06, then returned for a level 2 class. After a long 3 year wait, I picked up my C8 Z06 in Aug 23 (car was built July 14, 23). I left a voicemail at Spring Mountain about wanting to attend next year May 24, 25 I believe the dates are, already sold out or can’t book on the website. Love the instructors there and can always learn something new (loved the C7 lessons on “throttle steer” not sure what they will teach re: C8 Z on track. If someone from Spring Mountain sees this, show it to Rick Mahone, he may be able to help me out, tell him Julie says hi too… (those dates in May are near my b day and I can get out of work then)

I tried to sign up for a date exactly 5 hours after the latest list was released - unannounced. I wasn't sitting on my computer when the list was released and had no idea it was coming. I was subsequently told all the slots had been filled. I have already paid in full and was sitting on a confirmation for an OPEN date. Not very happy. I would recommend that Spring Mountain post an anticipated release date/time for future openings so those of us sitting around waiting to register for a date have an equal opportunity to apply. This is especially critical for those of us that could start to push the one-year eligibility period due to lack of availability of class dates.

So frustrating to try and book a date with Spring Mountain. Once an email is sent, I have responded as quick as 15 minutes after (need to check the schedule with 3 kids and the wife) and its already full. Even received a response from them stating that they sold out in 2 minutes. How in the hell are you guys getting a date? I've pretty much decided its not worth the frustration...
