In reading this thread. How does the pre-trade actually work? Anyone have an example of a contract that you negociated?
Does it work as follows.
1. Pre-trade your car in for X value.
2. Dealer gives you a check for X value and places order for the car.
3. Dealer writes up contract for new car without a vin, that states you get the tax savings when the car comes in and a set negociateed price you agreed upon.
4. When car comes in, you pay the full price of the car that is on the contract
Is this correct?
