They need to look at the German makes for a great silver. GM has not been great at silver for a while - they seem to “overcomplicate it”

Agree! I had a blade silver 2006 Z06 and loved it. I ordered and received a Silver Flare C8Z/Z07 and was disappointed when I saw the somewhat gold reflection in some light conditions. Not a fan. If I had it to do over, I would have ordered hypersonic grey. I am hooked on silver and shades of gray and blue-gray. I have a supersonic blue C6Z and I really liked the cyber and shadow grays. My "Dodge" is billet silver, which looks great after 8 years. My intent is to buy a ZR1 if the pieces fall in place, but color now has me concerned, and that has never been a major concern or issue for me in the past.

The supernova silver on the McLaren 720S would look perfect on the C8 body. Won't miss any of colours going away. We need a nice emerald green tintcoat and a darker blue metallic. Based on the current palette, red mist is my favourite which is why my Z06 is in that colour. I do want to see the new purple on an actual C8, though.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like the new "purple" looks a heckuva lot more like a dark-blue metallic, with maybe a hint of purple in it. Not saying I don't like it, though. In fact I would love to see it on a C8Z in person.
