But later I removed it when I changed wheels and added my new plate - just to remind my Ferrari and Lambo brothers that I'm proud to be driving American for the first time...
I'm definitely in the less is more crowd but debadging the Corvette in the center makes the rear look too plain. Would just leave the rear stock. Not a fan of debadging the front logo either. Looks more symmetrical with it on.

I would have left it alone too but plain looks better than the out of place Z06
Anyone who knows anything about c8s will know this is a Z06

Agree...I did the photoshop work because someone asked, but I'm not a fan of de-badging (or adding extra badging for that matter). I'm proud to drive a Corvette and am not in the "if you know, you know" camp. I want people to know what it is!

Agree. Would these same people debadge a Ferrari or Lambo? I am also proud to drive my Z06, and of course want everyone to know.
With or without emblems doesn't matter on this generation, it's just ugly. Let's hope they hired some new designers for the C9, they do a complete overhaul of the rear end.

Says the guy with a tacky hood scoop and inefficient blower on an LS7.

If debadging made for sexier lines, yes, I would. It's in the eye of the beholder, so I may leave some badges on (like the rear "Corvette") and take others off (like the front fender badge). I didn't pick the car so I could preen at the watercooler, I picked it because it had a reasonable fun/cost ratio. If people think it's "the new Honda" (which seems to be the running joke locally), doesn't affect my view of it.
