Z06 Carbon Fiber Boomerangs
Z06 Carbon Fiber Boomerangs (side scoop trim parts) no longer available as a dealer installed option.
Only available through parts. Anyone have the GM part numbers?

GM's pricing on CF is absolutely nuts, it's not 2000 anymore GM. The Alpha Romeo 4C had a carbon tub. I thought it was bad when I purchased my C7Z06, but it's just gotten worse with every new piece they introduce. The only external exposed CF i have on the C8Z are the mirror covers, but I purchased them from RSC. I'd love to have more GM CF, but not at these prices.

I saw this kit from EOS. Its the real deal, not just some sticky tape going over a body panel which is what I have mainly been seeing. These replace the OEM versions with carbon for about $640

I have called them a couple times so far and I have been playing phone tag with them. I'm thinking about getting mud flaps and engine appearance package from them.

I installed Sigala Design’s CF door moldings for less than $2000. They were well made and not overlays. They send the section containing the door release pad complete with the door release pad, and you return the originals for a core refund. Installation was not too challenging; however, removing the 4 nuts securing the door section requires a universal socket because of location within the door. Door panel removal is simple as long as you know where the 4 retaining bolts are located.

GM is very proud of their carbon fiber parts, which are no better, and sometimes worse, than aftermarket vendors.
The front splitter on my C6 Z06 was $2000. Aftermarket more than 50% less than that & looks exactly the same. Definitely go aftermarket.

As i have only seen the carbon on a Z's. Does the aftermarket carbon looks exactly like the OEM originally.....and then the OEM fades to a different color as everyone has stated?

GM OEM color has a gold tint and the weave is slightly different oppose to other after market is CF and Weave. So if you want everything to match perfectly you either go 100% GM or or 100% aftermarket , if the little bit of color tint from the GM OEM parts don’t matter then you can mix and match but your will definitely notice the difference in color depending on how the light hits the carbon fiber.

Oh ok. Thank you for the explanation. I did exposed carbon fiber aero, so I think I will leave the outside alone then. That would drive me crazy if they didn't match and one looked different or dirty all the time. I didn't get the appearance package on the motor. I figured I would see if I like the look of everything first before I cover anything up and I dont show my cars.
