Initially, when the time comes, I was going to order a ZR1 with the 1LZ trim to avoid the leather dash bubble concerns; however, I like the creature comfort features in the 3LZ trim package. I have always picked the 2lt/2lz trim levels in my previous corvettes specifically to avoid the leather dash bubbling issue.
Thoughts on the ZR1 3LZ dash bubbling over time? Do you think/know if the dashboard issue has been resolved or if there was an updated dashboard install with the ZR1 to avoid this issue?

Reason: Please Move To C8 ZR1 Group
Never had a problem with any of my 3LZ Corvettes. I use a dash cover specifically contoured to cover the dash when I park it for a whole day in the summer sun. Sometimes even a car cover.

Resolved... My vote: I doubt it.
Maybe another co-member can add facts, yet I thought the issue is a water-based (EPA bureaucracy) adhesive.
Sunshades and no use of leather conditioners may be the best preventive measures.
FWIW
As for 2LT vs 3LT, the 3LT is very (very) nice, worth $5K, your call.
I understand the year 2025 2LT now has a colored thread/ trim option.
I also read the large 3LT passenger side dash pad (out of warranty - not an easy install), is $2500 installed.
The driver's side pad over the gauges to the HUD opening is plug and play for DIYers; the part is $250.
I have no info to share on the left and right corner speaker covers or upper door areas.
Read over in the C8 General forum, it's still happening. The only plus for C8 owners is it appears you can just replace sections of the dash instead of removing the entire thing like you had to in C7 & C6.

It’s not a question of IF, it is a question of when
YMMV

This is so true. My 23 Z06 3lt has the dash start lifting when car had less than 2500 miles and was parked in garage at all times. Only time it was exposed to the sun was when I take it for weekend ride typically less than 50 miles any given day. The leather lifted and bubbled terrible and it was fine one weekend then I go into garage a week later and it has massive bubble everywhere. One would think GM would find a supplier who could supply a quality leather that would at minimum last the length of the 3 year warranty. These is a reason Corvette is a hundred thousand less than Ferrari or Lamborghini or Porsche. The build quality is just not on parts with those brands. I had to go through 3 sets of door panels in an attempt to get door panel with stitching that was no all crooked and final gave up after 3 attempt and failing to get one set with stitching that looked to have been professionally done. The old adage of you get what you pay for holds true with the Corvette brand. I a life long Corvette guy and have owned over 12 new Corvettes so it not like I have no experience with the brand. Anyone buying a Corvette must be willing to accept that the materials used and the build quality are inferior to European brands that cost significantly more but offer much higher quality materials and build quality that we get with our Corvette. Its getting harder to ignore the defects and poor quality based of the lower cost of purchasing a Corvette when the ZR1 with reasonable amount of options puts you well into the 230k or more range.
Do not think that was the intent (probably for aesthetics) and the new CF trim piece covers a subsection of the dash (over the instrument cluster) so any remaining exposed textile is subject to the same delamination process. But the new trim piece does reduce the area at risk.
Why doesn’t GM just bite the bullet and use 2LT type materials on the 3LT package and put the issue behind them? I had a 2LT C7 GS and have a 2LZ Eray and I purposefully avoided the 3LT/Z package on both of those cars because of this issue. It’s a shame that there is no 2LZ option on the ZR1/X, Apparently GM feels that at this price point there are only two types of buyers, 1LZ for the track folks and the 3LZ for everyone else. This might make marketing sense to some but not to me, why pay thousands extra for a problematic interior?

It's always been this way for ZR1 going back to the C6. It's either 1LZ or 3LZ. At least the C8 dash comes apart in sections. And for the post above that said replacing the passenger side piece is $2,500 - the part is only $300 on every parts website.
I really encourage everyone to learn how to work on your vehicles. The interiors in Corvettes (or any car) are not difficult to take apart and put back together. Almost everything is held together with plastic clips & a few screws.
My c7 and my c8 are both delaminating. the c7 dash was replaced under warranty and then it happened again. i am at the point now where I just ignore it. (wimper...)
Nothing is going to stop the dash from delaminating. Have my 2021 (9000 miles) in a a/c garage, use sunshade, never parked outside for long. Cost me 2100 after GM discount to replace door panel and right dash 8 months after warranty.
Terrible that they dont dump the full leather dash. Just not worth the headache imo. I had 3 3LZ cars and got lucky all 3 times. My buddy same year as my first C7Z had less mileage and his bubbled.
If I just had to have a 3LZ and it was a car I was keeping long term, I'd get a color combo that would allow me to just use 2LZ replacement parts. Yeah, warranty wouldn't cover it, but at least the issue wouldn't come back.
