Default rear end ratio swap in Toronto area?

OK, I haven't even got my car yet and I'm looking into mods (that's the way it's supposed to work on this forum, isn't it?).

Hopefully this coming weekend I'll pick up my 2000 Coupe. It's an automatic and, unfortunately, does not have the performance rear end ratio. Is there a place that would be recommended in the Toronto area to change the rear end ratio and replace the torque converter? Also, any recommendations on ratio and torque converter brand/stall speed for good street manners but increased performance?

thanks,
Rick

You could try ES Automotive in Newmarket, he knows his stuff and has a 6 seconds sportsman class car.

Another 2000 TR coupe in the pack...woohoo

Seriously, keep this in mind. If your car has the 2.73 gears, than you need a whole new pumpkin because the current pumpkin is too small to house 3.15'2, 3.42's, etc. I'm afraid you'll need a whole new rearend, not just the gears.

Thanks for all the great sources guys, this is just what I was after. I'll check them out once I get my car (should be this weekend, can't wait; I feel like a kid just before X-mas!).

Rick
