Default Castrol SRF in Canada

I'm told that the Canadian distributor for Castrol doesn't import the SRF brake fluid product. Anyone know where to get it in Canada?

DOT 4 compatible, but the absolute best performing brake fluid with the highest wet boiling point. Google it.

You are correct ..It is expensive ...you tried

http://www.raceshopper.com/wilwood_brake_fluid.shtml

570 dry versus SRF at 590 dry except this is 7 bucks for a 12 oz bottle...I have this stuff in my clutch.

Your opinion....

Ian: Do you change it every couple of years as manufactures say?

Isn't all DOT 4 the same?

I had my rear diff and clutch changed last year and had wilwood 570 put in for the clutch.
I can't even begin to state threads on C5 for clutch fluid but a fella called Ranger has al the news if not the expertise on DOT3 and DOT4 for clutch and brake...his "regime" of clutch DOT3 flushing is well documented in his threads ... no quotes but about 350 passes on a 1/4 mile run without having clutch issues.
I decided I would go with the Wilwood and willl check often for the colour degradation he mentions..
DOT4 probs are inability to really tell the fluid degradation whereas wilwood and DOT3 show up....DOT3 looks like urine when good and blackens when contaminated DOT4 is dark blue and tougher to tell.

In short yea I'll change and syphon every year.

My post was only to ask Pit if the extra cost of SRF was felt to be justified as the difference is huge in price without any apparent temp change benefit.
DOT3 and DOT4 are much lower dry and wet boiling points...not really an issue unless we heat the sucker up.
Hope this helps..
Ian

Looks interesting....except...no mention of the wet boiling point!

If they're not saying...I'm not buying.

Thanks JUSTAKAR...I was referring to the Wilwood link as they do not show the wet boiling point on that particular page.

Where can I find the info on the EXP 600 Plus?

The Wet boiling points are too low. Once the fluid heats up at the track it's more susceptible to water contamination and you want the wet boiling point as high as possible.

Another option, available at motorcycle shops is the Motul 600. I think I'll try that one this summer.
