I blew the original LS1 motor in December, totally my fault.
Bought the new parts locally from Dave (Canadian Performance) a Callies 4.125" crank, a LS6 block from Hinton, used my 243 Heads, used off the shelf rods, pistons, rings, GT2-3 CAM, etc.
Dave built the engine in 2 weeks, he knows how to clearance the big stroke cranks.
I picked up the long Block on Thursday and by today, tuesday morn I finally crawled out from under the Vet, summoned up all my courage, told my family I loved them very very much, and and and turned the key, it works fine, sorry no drama.
Idles steady at 575rpm, 14.7 on the wideband, no smoke, 42+ oil pressure, very quite better than stock. Yep the picture says it all.
There's a Mustang Guy at Dave's shop that actually knows something, I'd let him pull wrenches on my car.

congrats! So, you blew the old motor "accidentaly" eh? Is that what you told your wife?!?!?! Sounds like a good excuse to gain 35+ cubes!!
Dave is a good guy, I live very close to him, and his shop is right behind one of my favorite hangouts in Pickering - Karbelt! It used to be a Mustang place called Revvin High, and long before that it was Agostino's shop.
You'll love the extra cubes this summer!

He's a awesome tech/mechanic.Quick and thorough. Very lucky to hook up with him. Tough to find good people... I think we are in mutual agreement! He's got some chevy blood in those veins... Most of his cars and daily drivers are camaro's And now with all the vettes and camaro's rolling in, he's really starting to crank it out now!

Hey Bill,
That's great you got a new born!
I'm trying to decide if my engine needs rebuild/replacement.
Have been talking with Dave!!
I think we meet once last summer at Kennedy commons.
