Hi Michael, one of the best places to buy a pre-owned Corvette is Wilson-Niblett Chevrolet in Richmond Hill. The have the best selection of new and pre-owned Corvette's around and they go over every inch of any pre-owned Corvette to make sure it's in tip top shape.
I don't see a pre-owned 2000 or 2001 right now available online however I know they have a sweet 2004 Corvette Convertible with only 38,000kms on it. It's Metallic Red with Black interior and Black top.
Anyway, I would call and ask for John Wilson or Ian Weller.

WN's prices on used Vettes are way way too high though! I remember when NOCRISS was looking at a 2004 they had on their lot, with about 40,000 km on it and they wanted $43,000 or so for it. I told him about a 2005 I saw at Budd's in Oakville, with only about 18,000 km on it, for just a few thousand more, and he bought that one instead.
That 2004 they had wasn't exactly perfect either, apparently it had a rip in the driver's seat. Hardly "tip top shape" wouldn't you say?
I watch the Auto Trader constantly, and I've yet to be impressed with any of the prices on used cars at WN. They've got killer deals on new Vettes at the end of every season, but their used prices are unreasonable. I'm checking their website now for their used prices, and they've got an 05 Vert for $62,900 (about $10k too much!) and an 06 coupe for $56,995. (you can get a brand new 07 coupe for just $3000 more at Addison)
Hey Mike, I have the 01 and also have the oil consumption issue... I bought my car new and every once in awhile need to top up the oil. After 6 years with it, its no big deal at all really. At first I was freaked out about it but the more I read about it, the less I worried. It doesnt really consume if you dont drive it hard and if you do occasionally, a little top up is all thats needed. But you do get the extra HP and LS6 intake over an 00.

not knocking wn,but everything patman says is true, plus the rear end was leaking oil and it was actually listed for over45 grand. It was actually less then a few grand cheaper for the 05.I told them at the dealership that I was disappointed that they had the car,in that shape,on display. They were real busy the day I was there and got passed on to no less then 2 salesmen, depending on who drove in looking for what. They were trying to start their renovations so I am giving them the benifit of the doubt.
unless they can match US pricing i will be buying from the US...
I don't know about WN, but many other dealers are buying their used Vettes in the US and selling them up here for big profits. I won't buy here unless the prices are competitive!
Often I go to evil-bay and check completed items. But remember to compare exchnage rate and $209 riv fee and $100 A/C tax. You'd paid the GST from a dealer anyway and the provinical stuff is the same. PST, $74 /year sticker, emmissions and saftey.
