With all of family stuff out of the way, over the last week I repaired rear calipers with VBP o-ring style pistons, changed oil and filter and changed one rubber gas line (to pump).
Fired her up yesterday. First crank and she's roaring.
Gonna put insurance back on today so I can get whatever little summer driving is left. So what is happening this weekend? I can come out to play tonight (weather permitting ), Friday night or Sunday all day.
My last GTG was last year at LMC. There's a lot of new guys I have not met yet. Let me know if there are any GTG in the GTA
It's amazing how much attention this car gets from girls and idiots...
When I was washing it yesterday, my neighbour from a few houses over comes over and said that it was a 74. I asked her how she knew that and she told me about the split bumper.
Her boyfriend, on the other hand, said: "my father had a Corvette when I was younger. I remember going for drives in the back seat." The girl, who's in the driver seat by now, rolls her eyes and points to the back and said "back in there?". BF said the model his father owned had 4 seats. I didn't wanna say anything to the guy. I was too busy chatting with the girl in the driver seat with big ones
Nice finally meeting you last night Aamir. That's one bad *** ride you got.
I think we need to get a sound meter to see who has a louder exhaust. You, Joe (Sick-vette), Frank (Ontariovette), Steve (Getreal) and what the heck, Pierre (Slvrsrfr).
glad to hear you're back on the road Amir! I have been enjoying the 72 once again this summer and will get some work done on her over the winter to be trip ready for next summer. Might put Vintage Air in along with new cam, U-joints, bearings and finish the interior. Might get around to painting as well but with all the back roads up here that I enjoy driving new paint and stone roads don't really go together .
