It's a Canon PowerShot G3 Digital camera, approximatly 4 years old and hardly used. A couple of days ago I went to use it and the display screen on the back goes totally white when turned on. It lights up as if to have to much contrast but there is no picture showing whether it be in picture or view mode. I have:
Re & re the battery.
Charged battery
replaced the card
blown the hinge where the display is attatched to
Turned it on & off several times
Pressed every botton imaginable
Taken pictures but no display is showing.
if it has to be fixed I would just buy a new one as there has been a lot of improvements in digital cameras in the past 4 years. I buy about 4 a year for our dept.

Any suggestions?
It obviously needs fixing but IMHO it will not be worth it. For less money you can probably buy a more capable camera today.
Re Henrys on Steeles Mike comes highly recommended.
