Problem with Canon Camera

It's a Canon PowerShot G3 Digital camera, approximatly 4 years old and hardly used. A couple of days ago I went to use it and the display screen on the back goes totally white when turned on. It lights up as if to have to much contrast but there is no picture showing whether it be in picture or view mode. I have:

Re & re the battery.
Charged battery
replaced the card
blown the hinge where the display is attatched to
Turned it on & off several times
Pressed every botton imaginable
Taken pictures but no display is showing.

Any suggestions?

if it has to be fixed I would just buy a new one as there has been a lot of improvements in digital cameras in the past 4 years. I buy about 4 a year for our dept.

G7 has just been replaced with G9...should soon be deals on G7 if you don't need RAW.
Henry's has a very minor discount on theG7.

I agree with the crew, most likely better to buy new than fix...so many deals right now. Although if you do go for the fix, Henrys is the place.

I just bought the Canon G7 from Future Shop as a door crasher special for 489. Now back up to its regular price of 649 or in that range.

Henrys has the same on sale for 599 right now.
