Well as most of you know I've been doing some work over the winter and I'm ALMOST DONE. I'm hoping to be done for this sunday. All I need to finish is a new belt and some heater hoses which I should get tommorow. Let's just say I'm hoping she doesn't blow when I try to start her.

Mr Striker, you are the man! Its gotta feel good knowing you did it yourself. I'm not brave enough to even attempt that (also would have no clue what i'm doing!)
Here's to hoping it starts up first shot, and runs even better than ever!
Thanks for the kind words. I've been working through the night on a few occasions to get to this point. It feels great doing it myself but with the snow melting I'm feeling like I'm running out of time, I just want to drive soon so hopefully she starts
That's amazing Jason, I'm really impressed you did it all on your own.
Don't be too dissapointed if it doesn't start up right away, there might be a very small issue that was overlooked. I say that because even with the best mechanics with years of experence it still happens. Just the way these things go. So it usually takes a few trys and then you're running. I'm saying all this so Murphy's law will take effect and your engine will start-up first time, and make me look like an azz.
Are you using the injectors from your TPI or are they from an LT1? Do you plan on tuning it? You’re adding 75+hp the stock computer probably won't be able to cope. I hope all goes well for you
I'm using my old Bosch injectors from my TPI, I know they work and the ones I got with the manifold were Multechs which have a bad reputation and I don't know their condition.
As for tuning, I have a friend at McMaster with the tuning software and hardware so yes I'll be tuning it myself as well.
I just picked up my heater hoses a few minutes ago and they fit like a dream, all that's left is adjust the rockers, drill out a PITA bolt, buy/install a new belt then I oughtta be ready to start.
Also Stingray, thanks for that approximate power increase estimate it made me feel all happy inside
Well keep us posted big guy. Great job and a lot of patience doing all this work bro. Good for you.
Thanks, believe me I thought it would be easier than this, I bit off more than I could chew and more than once did I feel as if I wouldn't get it finished. It seems good to be at this point, only needing a serpentine belt to finish and bolt a few things on, I will definately get a vid of it starting, I personally can't wait to hear it with the new intake, cam and 1.6 rockers Joe you better watch out, I might try straight pipes this summer for a bit :P

Hey Jason...nice goin' there little buddy Always a good idea to have a couple of guys stand on each side of the engine as you turn it over for the first time...that way if something is going wrong, they can wave to you to shut it down before things get ugly (not that they will)
Good luck with the initial fire up and keep us posted
