Got your message about the Nissan(vette killer). It's one crazy car!

Sorry Guys but Ursula came home early so no sale afterall J/K
Rick, I'm not modding the car buddy. I actually want to keep it stock as I am really enjoying the car the way it is to be honest.
Should be a good day of racing as there is $10G up for gabs and there will be lots of fast cars there.
The winner will be really lucky because in order to advance 8 rounds they will have to cross the finish line before the other car without going faster than the time on the death card. All cars have to do at least 11.30 so the death cards will be slower than that. Who ever can slow down their car precisely enough to match the death card will do well. But it's a new style of racing because heads up you go as fast as you can and bracket racing you go for a consistent time which you know your car can do.
Slowing your car down to a time that's given to you AFTER you stage will be difficult. And try launching the car and starting a stop watch at the same time, shift gears, keep the car straight, and estimate crossing the finish line not faster than the death card will be next to imposable.
With the winner getting everything, there will be alot of unhappy campers, who spent the whole day at the track to get a only a couple of runs in.
I wish there was this much interest for regular racing, heads up or bracket. It just so happens TFBM.org will be bracket racing at St Thomas on Sat. July 12 and that is where I'll be with my Camaro.
It would be great to set up a Corvette bracket race one day at the track!

Is the format changing. I don't understand what you're describing. The previous shows have been $18k total with $1k to each first round winner and the $10k to the overall winner. Contestants can use the $1k to bet during the next rounds if they want. There was one show where they all agreed to bet it all each round though. Also, the cars have run 2 all-out qualifying passes and then they have to run within about 2/10's of that or get booted. They also seem to listen and watch for people lifting during their run.
There's interest because it's on TV. It seems Rich used the initial popularity of Pinks to get the Pinks all-out and the Passtime? series on the air. Overall, I think anything that increases the visibility and popularity of drag racing on a track should be considered a good thing. Passtime is fun to watch and try to guess. It's so low budget it's funny. Whisper your mph in Ken's ear for the tie breaker. LOL
I'd like to go but it'd be a long day trip.

I couldn't find that before. So this isn't really a Pinks event at all. Sounds like a quicker answer to Pinks All Out that doesn't require finding 256 matched cars and yet doesn't involve bracket racing.
You know, I've read a lot of negative about Rich and Pinks but it really seems to me he genuinely wants to build a drag racing following and he's mixing it up to make it interesting. Could also be partly wanting to show that racing can be taken off the streets.
