Emissions Testing

My 99 is due for an E-test, do you guys think its safe to bring it into a Crappy Tire for this.

I am in Toronto so if you guys can recommend a fast and honest shop to take it, it will be appreciated.

Crappy tire sucks.

There is an Emmissions Check at Warden and 401 in Scarborough.
1545 Warden Ave, 416-355-TEST (8378)
Just drive in, no appointment, not a shop so they won't try to sell you any repairs. $37.50

E..Test

Hi There is a place up Bayview, north of John street. It's the best place in TO for the test. They don't put the car on the rollers, Vettes are too low................ Almost guaranteed if you don't have too many miles.

Where ever you do take it.
Drive it at the upper reves for a bit to clear out the carbon. If you can time it so that it goes in the shop for the test while it is still hot.

I agree with Bishs but any good shop will run it hot for you to make it pass. (if that's all it needs) A good shop that is!

Anyone know which is the shop that is on Bayview north of John.

I am located at Bayview and Steeles and the only thing that is north of John is a school

Warden South of 401 - Emissions Check

Just want to thank all of your recommendations. I ended up going to Emissions Check on Warden. Took the Mini Van in their first to see what will be done before bringing in the Vette

Cost is $37 per car, the van was put on the rollers and it took approx. 40 mins because of the volume of cars. So not bad and overall very clean set up. Then I brought the Vette in on Monday at around 10am. 2 cars ahead so I was done in about 15 to 20 mins. The vette was not on rollers as suggested due to the potential problems with the Anti Sliding feature. All the guy did was reved it up for approx 2 mins and I was done.

Great experience and I would recommend this place to others.

Glad I could help and a recommendation worked out.
They did the same with my Vette, due to active handing it didn't even go on the rollers. (psst, my car doesn't even have AH)
