Default update

well decided to make a quick update on my car, the engine's disconnected and coming out tomorrow. Once it's out I'm taking it to a machine shop and he's helping me build a 383 shortblock for $2400. Then I need to bolt down some 195cc heads and get new injectors since mine are shot. I'm also picking up a new cam since my old one was not very friendly to the ECM.

Should be done by June for sure. I'll need to track it one day I have a feeling C6s will be watching out

Great, but i still want u to post in C4 section and also many past C4 members moved to corvette-guru.com, so post over there too, do it once but perfect, just an suggestion, been there done that, a forum member built my previous 383 stroker which passes emmissions, made over 50 passes down track and still place a white bedsheet underneath and expect no drips from engine.

Good luck whatever u choose.

thanks, I actually made a post some time back, cuisinartvette helped me out a lot on my choice of combo, the whole bottom end is being done by a reputable engine builder that owed me a favour so the bottom end will be perfect, then I'll get fully ported and assembled heads and just bolt them down and grab some 30# injectors. I'll even get my chip done by PCMforless.

Thank you for your concern and I understand what you mean, I want it to be reliable enough to be a DD because, well it will be.. at least until the 11:1 CR kills me lol.

Jason,

I have a set of MSD 38lbs fuel injectors, part number 2018.

Let me know if they will work for you. I'll let you have them for less than half of what I paid. $100

I only didn't use them because the body was too wide and didn't fit with the Fast90 intake. I had to get a set of 42lbs.

Jeff

Jason, I have a brand new set of AFR 195 Eliminator cylinder heads for sale, they are 75cc straight plug design, I will sell them to you for a good price.

Cuisinartvette (Ron) is an outstanding person, i talked to him all the time, infact he did a great porting job on brian cunningham's vettes, if u need any porting to ur heads he can do it cheap and it will be perfect, anyway what cam ur going with 383? GM 305 would be appropriate, or custom Comp cam 22x/23x duration.
U will be much happy with 383 bcos of broad torque curve.
Good luck again. Dont worry about 11:1 compression my 383 has 10.7:1 with TPIS thin head gasket.

I wanted a comp cam with .55 lift, this affects the duration so the cams I'm looking at are :
lift w/ 1.6
236/241 .552/.547 113°
or
224/231 .520/.515 113°
