Received my Federal inspection form today for my Z I brought up from US. It says I need an infant restraint kit to pass. What is it and where do I get one of these? Thanks

I will be watching this thread also as I just bought a Z06 from the US. My vert I brought up never needed it.

Where would you put such a restraint? I think you should call RIV and have them double check.
Info on seatbelt helpful for me as well.....the daytime running lights -how are they activated on an 03 Z06 - a computer program change by a dealer or can this be done at home. Airbag label - is it ordered from GM. Speedo is OK and I know about the rear bumper mod thanks to Tyler. Anything else need to be done on the 03 ?

Can tire as stated above... and it is another law, but this bolt allows a child seat to be tethered with the restraining strap...another bovine excrement piece of legislature BUT it does allow an infant in the front in a child seat with th passenger side bag off.

Daytime running lights are standard on all US C5's. If they're disabled, you should be able re-enable it in the DIC under "Twilight sentinel". If you don't have that option, make sure the fuse is installed. If that's ok, the previous owner may have had it disabled by a dealer using a programmer.
As for label, I doubt that they'll check for that. My Cdn Tire inspector didn't bother checking for labels or infant restraint seats since it was a 2 seater.
Not sure where you are but if you're in Calgary, take it to the Cdn Tire at Shaganappi & Crowchild.
weird, they didn't ask me for squat except my bumper mod and that was it for my 03 Z06?
Mike,
I'll leave the names anonymous.... but bumpers mods and passing are not always required 03 04 Z or C5...I can vouch for that...hell you can drive across the border with 94 Quest plates....
One guy got a metric conversion set of stickers for the speedo course you could have pushed button #5 E/M....just depending where you go sets the rules..

Interesting how things vary so much. CDN tire sold me two airbag labels at $7.99 each today and the seat belt anchor bolt which they said was required. Appreciate the info on the day time running lights so looks like I am all set now.

Hey can you fill in your profile so we know were you are from. This can help when talking about this stuff, Thanks
I have imported several Vettes. I have a tether bolt that is still in the package. I leave it on the passenger seat when they go in for inspection and it is there, still in the package when I pick the cars up. Also works on the seat of Gen 2 Vipers
I have never been asked for the labels but I know they are on list.
What it reaqlly means is if your car is supposed to have it and it doesn't then the box has to be checked. It's a generic line on every form. I brought a 98 up and my model never had one so no issues.
Got the provincial certification, E-test, & federal inspection all done today, Everything OK. Canadian tire made me buy a infant restraint bolt for 7 bucks, place it on the passenger seat, inspected it, passed. Girl even took bolt back to cash for refund. Seems like a funny way of doing it. Plates go on tomorrow. It was very simple to bring car up from US. Would do it again in a flash. Anyone need help, just ask.

Congrats and I totally agree with you regarding importing a car from the U.S.
Good to see you got the car back to Cobourg!!!--but waiting to get her across the border makes for some interesting very anxious moment!!!--Congrats!!!
Mine was all done at the dealer, but I can turn off all the front lights.
Now, I have to make sure to have lights on, to avoid a Sherrif enforced ticket in Alberta. I was stopped in Westlock in my dually one time, for not having DRL. Talked my way out of it, turned on my headlights and said 'see, fixed'.
He laughed, told me to get gone and fix the drl's.
