GPS navigation guys, quick question
Was at a Partsource store today (Mobile 1 on sale) and on a whim bought a Garmin nuvi 260 on sale for $249 from $399.
I usually research these kinda things but didn't this time.
Unit worked flawlessly on the way home from Peterborough, any feed back on this exact model? Did I do good

You could have bought a cheaper and better one (nuvi360) here: http://www.thecameraprofessionals.co...p?prodid=74895
It has MP3 player and Bluetooth.
260 is still a good unit (cause it 'speaks street names').

Mike, I'vehad a bunch of Garmins. Currently using a 760 nuvi that has bluetooth (and I don't use bluetooth yet.)
But, if I wanted to I could use it as a handsfree headset in the car. My wife has done that with her 660 Nuvi. Worked fine, hardtop off in the slk.
I'd be lost without my gps receiver. So I understand.
Regards,

ok
The bluetooth is a kool option I won a pioneer Avic at a show last month as I trave to Quebec a lot they now require handsfree its OK
speaker could be louder also has mp3 abaility with a SD card can't see it much use with one crappy GPS Speaker.
wouldn't buy one just for mp3 or bluetooth(have an earpiece for that)

I have a Nextar unit.
Voice-guided directions with voice prompts
Speed alert
SD card slot for added memory
MP3 playing & JPEG viewing mode
2D or 3D map viewing modes......a bunch of other stuff.
Nice little toy.....I looked at the Garmin, but they were more money.

Not 100% sure I got an answer to my question, but don't need bluetooth or MP3, so I'll stick with my 260.
I'm a road warrior, but my Perly's just ain't cutting it compared to the Garmin. Know the city like the back of my hand, but also cover E Ontario, and I don't know that area too well, so this should be a real help
Thanks all

only concern with a gps receiver is to keep your maps up to date. So check out whether Garmin has bundled the most recent maps and whether your unit allows you any free upgrades.
You'll be able to determine that on the Garmin site.

Compare Nuvi features
http://www.gpscentral.ca/products/ga...vis-detail.pdf
Compare Nuvi pricing:
(gpscentral.ca)
http://www.gpscentral.ca/products/ga...comparison.htm
I've bought from this store; first class service; no provincial sales tax IIRC!
They're in Calgary...good people.
