clear license cover painting
Who has done it? Did you paint on the inside of the cover or outside? Will it matter if the top paint strip covers where it says Ontario? Any other tips?

I think that as long as they can see your numbers your OK. Since your sticker is in the back, you shouldn't have a problem.

NO. THIS IS NOT ALLOWED.
YOU CANNOT COVER UP ANY PORTION OF THE LICENSE PLATE.
I"VE RECEIVED TICKETS FOR THIS.
LAW STATES THAT THE LICENSE PLATE MUST NOT BE COVERED IN ANY WAY.

It depends on the discretion of the officer.

Trust me, I got the tickets. I got it for no plate, improper covering and I had an attachment on the plate and the officer "ON THE SPOT" asked me to remove a decal. $110 is your fine.
ENJOY.

I know it sucks, but yes, technically you can get a ticket for any tinted plate cover.
The way I see it, why give them another reason to pull you over?

Put the paint on the inside of the cover....it gives the paint a clear coat look. I've had mine done for about 3 years and haven't been stopped for it yet. Next one I do will probably show more of the plate, just to stay on the safe side.

inside
If you do it on the outside it willl look very poor within weeks......if you want a plastic painted on the outside (black)...you can have it for free....LOL guess how I know..........
Mark and Jetz have the two nicest painted the car colour inside painted and since JETZ has the same car, same colour so talking to JETZ would probably be best....Like Mark and the fellas have stated ...it's all illegal so how much you wanna be illegal is up to you....
