Default POST APEX ... "The Picnic"

The Picnic

The events described here are the actual events that occured following our day at the APEX Extreme Driving Experience at MOSPORT ... no names have been changed to protect our identies.

GETTREAL - Steve: "Hey Guys, this looks like a nice place to pull over for a picnic!"

WYCKD1 - Lauri: "Hey look at the horses! I love horses! I wonder if they will come closer?"

GETTREAL - Steve: "Hang on a sec Lauri .... NEEHHHYYYHHHEEEE!!!!!"

1BDRSK - Greg: "WTF are you doing Steve??!!??"

MOSPORT1 - Steve " Ya! Don't provoke them!!!!"

CDN_Wolf_eh - Mark: "Holy Carp!!! You did it! They're heading our way!!!!!"

GETTREAL - Steve: "They call me - The Horse Whisperer!!!! - NEEHHHYYYHHHEEEE!!!!!"

WYCKD1 - Lauri: "OMG!!! They're turning now!!!!"

After our Horse Adventure ...

we relaxed and enjoyed the late afternoon,

and then the early evening ...

Eventually ... the magic trailer arrived to carry the GETTREAL MOBIL off to it's evening resting place ...

here we see Steve - tucking her in for the night ...

Here we see Steve tipping the driver to ensure that his baby is well taken care of ...

I'm sure AMEX will be happy to see these charges!!!

One final glimpse of the trailer, as it quickly heads down an unmarked side road ...

I thought to myself ... I wonder if we will ever see the GETTREAL MOBIL on the road again?

Ever.

Stay Tuned To Find Out!

Mark

Note: This is an entirely fictional account of our extended stay on the side of the road. The actual events were even weirder! Thanks for being a good sport Steve aka. The Horse Whisperer (who was dying to go "bareback riding" What ever that ment ... thanks Lauri for the snacks ... thanks Steve (PSOD) for staying almost as long as the rest of us Thanks Greg ... for attracting the attention of every Police cruiser within hearing distance of your exhaust

Too funny

Im hoping that its nothing too serious (might be a lifter or a rod) but something I've always heard is that if you hear a noise from under the hood, shut it down and dont drive it... thats what we did. Thanks for the company while we waited. it was a fun picnic

Crap ** a picture of me wearing corvette clothing ..ughhh

Steve, hope it's nothing serious! I can't believe you had a strange noise...it's not like you were beating on it or anything like that!

On the other hand, you and Greg were spanking all the rest of us pretty good though!

I had a great time hanging with all those who came out! Just got back home at 8 PM Thursday after my mini vacation visiting my daughter up North. Looking forward to doing it again soon!

Steve hopefully it's nothing major.

Mark, why do I keep hearing a lowsy imitation of Jackie Stewart's voice when I read your post.

You're right Mark, a poor choice of words.
I am sure you are aware that Sir Jackie Stewart is Scottish. So maybe you should change the colour of your font to blue.
