"pics" Banff & Banff Springs Hotel
Well My wife and I went to Banff for our 16th anniversary, our boys stayed with grandma and we stayed at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, 120 years old. We love this hotel, it’s so rich in history and the service is excellent.
They restored the entire 5th floor and it’s now called the “Gold Floor”. This floor has an honour bar, appetizers all afternoon and great breakfasts. The personal service is incredible and everyone, even the cleaning staff smile and greet you warmly.
The Valet service was perfect and parked the car immediately even though there were many other that were waiting long before we got there. Head valet said it was parked by the Porsches to make them feel bad, obviously this guy was good! We had no issues with the car, no scuffs anywhere.
The Grand Hall
The room with Champagne compliments of the hotel
The view from the room
Went for a drive Saturday afternoon,
The sheep don't move very quickly as they lick the salt off the raod,
Thanks for looking
Cheers

Bill, congrats on your 16th anniversary. Looks like you celebrated in style. Kind of funny, my wife and I are going to Banff this weekend to celebrate or 26th (married young ) We are staying at the Juniper Inn, it is just off the second entrance to Banff on the Fortress ski hill road. It overlooks Banff and you can see the majestic Banff Springs from our deck. We always take our Malamute with us and this hotel is extremely dog friendly, we love it. We will be travelling in style (Escalade) but not the Z06 My dog will always come before my car.

Happy 26th
Wow you did get married young My dog went with the boys to Grandmas. He ends up running up to their house, up the hill from mine, so he got spoiled too.

Awesome pics Bill
Great country we live in what?
PS; Was there something special with the ironing board that it had to be in every shot?
PPS; And isn't it amazing what us guys have to do to remind our ladies just how wonderful their guys really are . . .

Have to do or want to do? I'd say that trip falls into the "want to do" category.

Beautiful Husky you got there Racer44. I used to have a Husky/German Sheppard mix about 25 years ago. Great dogs.

Oh man you're are so lucky to have your car there. I did that trip last fall but in a Dodge Magnum,, not the same,,, stopped at the Banff Springs for a couple of $20 martinis,, that's all I could afford there,,
we stayed just outside Banff at the Juniper,, loved it,, very nice little boutique type hotel,, great views but not as good as the one from you room....
thanks for bringing back some great memories.

Been to Banff several times and have also enjoyed The Springs.
One of the most beautiful places on earth and a great choice to celebrate a special occasion - thanks for sharing...

Congrats Bill!
Hard to believe that the hotel was the largest in the world when it opened back in 1888.
I'll probably drive to Banff this weekend. I'm addicted to those burgers at Barpa Bills.

Congratulations! Great pics of City and Hotel. Better than mine!
And Racer44, thanks for the heads up on the hotel that's dog friendly. We have 2 Goldens, and it would be a pleasure to take them with us.
Regards,
DaveL
