Default Question for the older car insurance

Question for the older car insurance

i heard that classic car insurance is full of restrictions ,no malls no parking lots time restrictions and such.
But I just got insured with no restrictions for the 81 vet $178 a year I think that’s
pretty good or am I wrong?

Its for $2 million liability
Accident benefits
Direct compensation property damage
Family protection endorsement OPCF 44????? What ever that is
Collision deductible $300
comprehensive deductible $100
spare parts coverage-$7,500…. don’t know what this means

is this any good???

The most important thing is to know the replacement value on older cars.

In other words, what will you get in case of a write-off?

he did not mention Lant in his post. Without an appraisal and an agreed upon value , your insurance maybe poor. Why, because insurers pay on depreciated value not what it would cost to replace or what you have into it, or for that matter anything else.

Basically, get an appraisal of your vehicle and that is the basis for your insurance (Greg -- that's a 19A endorsement?). If your car is valued at $10,000 or $50,000 you pay x dollars per $1000.

The condition is that you have a minimum of 10 years of driving under your belt, have a good driving record, and have a daily driver so that the vehicle you are insuring is for pleasure, car shows, and Sunday drives.

You can call them up if you're going on a trip, say Bowling Green, they can provide coverage during the trip for a fair price (when I had my '79).

Do yourself a favor have them price it out with agreed value you think the car would be appraised at. You will be surprised it's not that much for the policy if the car gets stolen or wrecked.

My policy for my 82 Camaro Pace car is about $ 500 and change with a agreed value of $ 12000. I can't imagine what they would give me for an 82 Camaro were it stolen or an accident victum.
The fire and theft is still cheap in the off season.

Think of what it would be to replace, they would just write it off, give you what they think is far not condsidering what extra you have put into it.

1. You MUST have an appraisal to be insured with Lant.
2. You are NOT covered if you are driving the car to work (no exceptions).
3. You MUST have agreed upon value.
