Default Dead bugs!

It appears that some dead bug on the front of my car that wasn't remove quickly ate into the clear coat?
Any suggestions on how to resolve this problem?
It can only be seen from some angles on close inspection.

Touch up with some 'clear-coat' and polish to blend in.

Yeah, bird droppings(esp. from those flying rats, seagulls!) will also melt/eat the clear coat on a hot, sunny day. Try and get it off ASAP. Be aware! Ciao.

You might get it out with some scratch and swirl remover and some elbow grease. Then put on a coat of polish and see how it looks.

Here is what I would try, in this order.

- run out to canadian tire and grab some Meguiars ScratchX
- get a clean soft cotton or microfiber cloth and apply the scratchx. The directions on it sort of suck, so this is how I use it.

Apply a small amount (the size of a quarter) to the cloth, then rub vigorously into the area you're trying to correct. Remember, scratchx is an abrasive, so you need friction to break it down. When it goes clear wipe the residue off with another cloth. Repeat as needed.

If you do not see *any* movement in the spot (the area where the bug etched the paint) then you will likely need to machine polish the area, however in almost all cases of bug etching/bird poop/water spots scratchx will at least minimize the damage such that it won't bother you any more. Remember you can keep re-applying it unless the etching disappears or stops being reduced.

If that doesn't work let me know.

Just checked my car cleaning supplies and I already have this product.
I will try it and let you know how it works out.
