Thanks for this. I've been keeping my eye out for storage solutions for a couple years now, looking to get out of my rip-off local mini-storage deal where the owner won't cut me a break... even though I'm a "solid" long-term tenant.

I like this principle in general... but seriously I can't see how someday when I decide to sell, that my resale unit will have appreciated. The location's nothing special. And $40K buys a heckuvalot of mini-storage rentals over many years.

Another concern is that I like old Buicks and Caddies... and this seems more targeted towards the Ferrari/Porsche set. Anyone think this thing's gonna fly??

That's not too bad if you live in a nearby condo and enjoy wrenching on your own car.

I just moved into a condo and although I'm renting a spot in someones garage for the C5 at $150/mth, the owner won't allow me to do an oil change... let alone a header install.

But then again, like montrocity mentioned, $40,000 is a lot of storage... 22+ years at $150/mth.

true on the 40 grand, but one would expect it to be worth at a minumum, the original 40 plus a bit more?
