Well Davenport is $400 more than the GM Dealership I received a quote from and Performance unlimited is $1000 more. There was a fellow on the forum told me last week he had a performance shop in Toronto install his for $600 or $400 cheaper than the GM dealer and $800 cheaper than Davenport. Why are the rates in Calgary so outrageous? I don't mind paying a fair price but not paying a small shop $130 an hour.
The Toronto area has a population greater than all of Alberta. They've got tons of specialists and shops who will fight for your business. Take into account the inflation/cost of living in Calgary and you're bound to find higher prices. Not only for Corvettes but for almost everything else as well.
If you want to save money, you may want to do it yourself. Or at least find a fellow enthusiast who's willing to pitch in and get his hands dirty.
I have personally sent a couple dozen people to Davenports for everything from blowers to headers to exhausts. On everything from Vettes to SRT300's with headers and blowers to Suburbans, also with superchargers - all told probably 30 cars and only one of them ever had a problem - AND in that case Steve had the car picked up and fixed within a couple hours at HIS expense and it wasn't even his fault ( turned out to be a faulty injector). Steve is the most expensive in town no doubt - HOWEVER he is also the best.( sorry Steve about the expensive part) I notice that you also want a blower - there is a competitor that will put on the blower for you and you will take to Davenports after spending thousands of dollars to be reprogrammed. How do i know this? Because a good friend once asked me who could fix HIS blower after having it installed by someone other than Davenports . For C5 or C6 work there is nobody in Western Canada better.
Cheers Steve ( no relation)
