Default Carlisle reflection

OK so I am home from another amazing carlisle trip. Some new faces which is great and good times had. We didn't have any glitches that I am aware of and everyone's cars worked well despite the rain.

I want to give Mo a special thank you for organizing so many of the details of this trip and the hotel. Great hotel, very comfortable and nicer than the Wyndam Garden. Running around changing peoples rooms so everyone has a place to sleep! Creating maps and directions etc and a lot of hard work so Thanks Mo. Your car looks awesome by the way.

To my colleagues on the forum that were in attendance, thanks for the laughs and good times. Just bummed it's over already! Just think Carlisle 2010 is only 1 year away

By the way we got hauled into customs and had half the car apart and emptied and then we were let go with a simple thank you and no fees or anything. We even declared everything too! oh well....

heres to the friends I have made off this forum! Thanks for the memories.

Definitely a great time despite the weather. Picked up some new bling, met some new friends, partied with old friends, found a new road that everyone is itching to go on again, what's not to like!

How many days now Corrado??

BTW Mark, I found the watch. Jack and Dave, sorry buds could not find the requested pieces at the target prices this year.

Bill, Suzie says thanks again for the ride, she's still smiling.

Tim, thanks for the use of the passenger seat.

Thanks to everyone for another memorable trip.

Ditto to all that. Carlisle is just not the same without Mo's attention to all the little details. "Mo knows" and by the way, he got some real nice new bling on his "Red Lobster".

Bonnie and I were just reflecting on the way home, how blessed we are to know you all. We have made some friendships through this passion which I am sure not many other pursuits may provide. The "wave" to this day still amazes us.

I couldn't help but think of Bill (Smook) during our time down there and how he might have just relished it. Sorry for being so maudlin but we should thank whatever we believe in for these great moments and Harley Earl for bringing all of us together with our Corvettes.

Thanks for looking Pete

OK - so I have all my ALMS pics uploaded to photobucket, but can't seem to get them to copy into a thread here on the forum??

They seem to have altered photobucket since I last used it (which isn't very often)

Any tips??

Ditto on great job by Mo. Allot of hard work goes into this running smoothly.

It was our first trip to Carlisle and Kim and I met many great people who made us feel at home. Agree the drive is most the fun. Ran into a detour which landed us one one of the best Corvette driving roads I have been on. It was a blast!

My mudlflaps I wanted were delivered to the hotel by Gene Kelly as requested. Great service. Huge place so lots to look at. Like the ultimate Corvette Candy store.

Mo and Sue, hope you are enjoying that beach in Ft. Lauderdale.

Sure did....hard to look at a few items. Found a ZR1 shell that just about killed me to see. It was stripped bare. Found a ZR1 rear bumper and it was sold But bought a 90mmTB for the blower, a new C6 shifter and a few other little goodies.

Rick I did get the car wash soap back thanks! I saw it beside the car door

Have to wash the car with Dawn today and start working the paint with the new polish stuff I bought now!
