Default Hideaway front plates

Anyone using the hideaway front plate brackets? I see they are available either powered or manual.

I ordered and received the TOP FLIGHT bracket/frame...no screws only 3m adhesive..not installed yet.

Now Iam thinking I may buy the hideaway plate...I think I may like it under the front bumper instead of ....in the center of the grill.

Have to think about it. May put it in 4-sale section...man I think I paid 100.00 for the frame only....any takers if I choose to sell?

Do the plate slide outwards and the flip up (hinged at the bottom edge) or does it need to rotate down towards the ground in order to rotate up into position?

I guess knowing which way the front surface of the plate faces (sky or ground) would answer what I'm trying to ask.

For the people with the hideaway plates.

Would you use them all the time, or just when you get pulled over?

I'd sooner have the topflight set that looks decent than drive around with a bare plate awkwardly mounted on the front.

Although if the intention was just to flip it up in the event of a pullover it might be worth it.

When looked at is it quite obvious that it has a moving function?

Many of the guys running them do display their plates while they drive. When parked at a show the plate is retracted. The plate drops forward and pulls in under the bumper. Very slick and I would love one except it just won't work on the C6Z ........and survive. The front lip makes it just too low.
