I went to wake up her up from hibernation and I don't like what I found.
The extension core for my tender shorted out and the battery is dead. I tried boosting and just a lot flickering and clicking from the engine bay (but the lights came on the dash and the radio is working fine). I hooked up a charger to it and the charger's meter looked like it was having a seizure. The needled was bouncing back and fourth and a couple of the fuses were clicking as well, the parking lights were flickering as well (not the headlights however.)
This didn't seem normal so I unhooked everything.
Any thoughts? it's still under warrenty so I was thinking I should just call roadside and get it towed to the dealer?
i would hook up the battery tender for a few days and see what happens.
bet it works fine.
or even boost it to start the car .........
they always do all sorts of crazy stuff when the battery is near dead
jmho
coming to mosport this year jeff?
love to see you down there. met you at Calabogie last year
A new track is on the list of things to do this year and mosport would be the place to start.
I tried boosting it and it didn't work. I changed to cord to the charger and hooked it up but there was still a strange sound cominig from the fuse box. I thought it might be a fuse so I removed the ones that were nere the sound and it appears the sound is coming from below the fuse box. Removing the fuses didn't make a difference.
Take the ground off the battery(8mm ratchet wrench works great). Get a good battery charger and charge the battery fully. Then re-hook the ground. It should all be all normal now.

Great info.
If you jump the battery on new cars you could have electrical problems months down the road. :o

Thnx for the advise Arun....she started up this morning like nothing.
There still a bit of snow around so I don't plan on putting the insurance on for a couple more weeks, do ya think I should hook up the Tender again (this time with a real extension cord) or do you think I should just start it once every couple of days?

Good to hear!
I would go the battery tender route-just starting and running it briefly just leads to condensation in the oil pan-which is not what you want.
