Default Cruise, BBQ and house warming Sat July 17

At 75Stingray’s in Barrie. Alex just bought his first house, complete with a double car garage. Lets crash his new place and the neighborhood and welcome him to home ownership. Who could do this better than us and this group of people we have.

His best day for this is Sat July 17th., and it will be a rain or shine event. If the weather turns out not the nicest, and keeps you from coming in your vette’s, then come in your daily driver.

We will meet between 12 noon and 1 pm centrally at the Petro Canada service centre on the 400 northbound by King City, and convoy up from there. Depart time is just after 1 pm. Once I have more details, I’ll post to this thread. We’ll cruise a back way route to his house.

The idea is to then have a BBQ lunch at his place. I’ll take care of that stuff, but as this is a “house warming” and Alex being a young, single guy, please bring a little something. You can PM me with specifics, but for food items I’m thinking stuff like salad, deserts, pop, chips etc. For the wives/significant others, I’m sure you can think of things a guy could use in his first home. And actually I have some good suggestions so feel free to pm me for some of my ideas.

Oh, BYOB as well as lawn chairs.

Afterwards, we could cruise downtown Barrie lakefront or just backroads home to the GTA.

Hope to see a good turn out for this. Alex is a long time forum guy and it’s great to see him get into home ownership at his age.

Thanks Mike for getting this going!

Hey guys! Unfortunately I haven’t been as active on this forum as I once was and with the search and purchase of my house I haven’t been out to as many events as I’d like to go to this year. Because of various reasons my Vette hasn’t been out of storage very much in the past few years. But those that know me, know I’m very much a Corvette enthusiast.

There is no obligation to bring me a warming present, what I would most enjoy is the company of fellow corvette enthusiasts to enjoy a BBQ. Maybe some encouragement/ribbing to get my Vette out on the road again and break the 75 curse. Vito you there? My driveway should fit 5 vettes and there is lots of parking on the street in front.

Hope to see you guys out here!!

Thank you I will if I get a chance......maybe you could all go to the Burger king on Bayfield street, they have an evening classic car get together every Saturday night, having a host of vettes would do the party good....
