Where is a good place to get my Vette "E tested" in and around Georgetown?
Looking to get this done tomorrow so I can get my plate sticker.
Should pass with no problem.
Mark, the Goodyear on Guelph street does it as does the tire shop a few doors down ( I used them but can't recall the name). Jamie likely knows as he used the same place I think. knowledgeable, nice guys. Almost corner of Guelph and Armstrong I think????
I honestly like bratin auto in town. They are on hwy 7 just west of my office. they are happy to book you in first thing and I can usually go around and be there watching as they run it on the rollers. Ask for tino(owner).. And tell em jamie sent ya.. (he will charge you double so I can get mine for free.... Lol joki.g of course)
Mark, Vette's do not go on rollers.... ensure they only do a 2 speed idle test. If they insist on putting it on the rollers go somewhere else where they know how to do emissions tests.

Is it if your trying to cheat the system you don't want to run the rollers?? (serious question.. not playin)
Last time I had mine done I stopped in to Gm prior to doing it. They said there is absolutely no issues running the C5's on the rollers..
I've never had an issue. C6's maybe a different story tho.

Mark, disable the traction control by pulling the fuse....with the light on and unable to dis-engage they won't dare run it on rollers. Then take it to Cdn tire and go out with the tech to the bay and watch it run.

Do you know of places in the north part of the city? I assume this is acceptable to the MTO?

I had my ex C5 (now Mark's) done on the rollers at a St Catherines Saturn dealer.Absolutely no issues.Great service. The guy couldn't believe the numbers were so low.He thought he had issues with his test equipment.I used to get my ex Corolla, ( 2011 Cruze now)mother-in-laws Corolla & wife's car done there.Excellent service,no appt req'd,but alas,as all Saturn dealers,he's gone.

Mark,Would have I sold ya a bum steer? lol!!Your C6 awaits.
Wilf, Still the same almost 2 1/2 years later. The guy was amazed how low the numbers were.
I went to the Canadian Tire in Georgetown, Didn't need an appointment. they were great.
Maybe now that it's "E Tested" I should sell it and pick up a Red C6 I have my eye on in Wine Country.
