Buck a liter gas now available...
in the US.
Just returned from DC.
Gas avg. US$3.90/gal = $1.03US/liter = $1Cdn/liter.
Speed enforcement = CityTV = "Everywhere"
That is all.

Couple of weeks ago I was in the Picton/Bloomfield area - gas was $1.16 to $1.19.
When I got back home to the Whitby area that night gas here was $1.29

bought some 93 in Niag Falls NY Tues eve.... $150.00 groceries at Tops, got .15 off per gallon at their pumps.... was 3.98 - .15 = $3.83 US! A guy pulled up in a new SS Camaro and asked me what we pay for premium up here.... he didn't believe me!

1.49/literCdn for premium = $5.64/galUS
It really makes me wonder (and mad) that cottage country prices can be SO much lower than within GTA, considering the higher sales volume and lower transportation costs in the city.
Gouging, indeed!

Last time I was Cobourg I found that gas there was quite a bit less than it ws in the city. As I made my way to Port Hope and around the area ( i was working) gas remained quite a bit less than in the city. I think the gas station owners there understand that volume is their best friend and that less per litre=more cars in the lot. In the city that's not a worry hence the gouging of you and I. Just my $.02.

The biggest government scam in the world behind auto insurance is fuel pricing. I dont remember the fuel prices per litre but last Thursday morning I filled up my Cherokee with 89 octane in Woodbridge cost me $100 even before leaving for Manitoulin Island. Thursday afternoon I filled up the Jeep again with 91 octane near Espanola cost me $88. Sunday afternoon I filled up the Jeep with 91 octane again on my way home just outside Parry Sound and it cost me $92. You figure that one out. Probably would of cost me $12-$14 more to fill up with 91 in Woodbridge that day so lets say $112 to compare apples to apples. $112 in Woodbridge for 91, $92 in Parry Sound and $88 in Espanola

We pay 3.90$/Gallon in Akwesasne -- and get free bridge passes to cross back over... Have to deal with the border guys a bit - sometimes the line is a pain, but saving 25-30$ a fill up is worth the hassle.
