Default Need an alignment

I'm in Brampton and need an alignment on my C5z. I'm willing to travel a bit for a good shop. If anyone has any reccomendations I would appreciate it!

Thanks,

Mick

Ok I cant remember which is which I get confused myself! lol

I believe its Concord Alignment at Hwy 7 just east of Islington as you reach the top of the hill. Woodbridge Alignment which I used to use back in the day at Martin Grove and Hwy 7 may still do good work, dont know. Just hope I got the names and locations right for you and didnt mix them up. I do that sometimes. The one at 7 east of Islington is the better one.

You could contact Rob01C5. He works Addison Chev, good guy and maybe he can help you out too.

Well you did get them mixed up. The one at the top of the hill is Woodbrige Alignment. Owner: Mario has been there a long time and does good work.

the important part is that I did have the right recommendation between the two...guy at the top of the hill is better. LOL Thats correct, Mario is the owners name. His wife works there as well. I went to high school with their daughter. Good guys to deal with.

Mantisracing.com is one of the best places if you're willing to travel to Oakville. I just had an alignment done to one of my cars there, they specialize in Porsches but also will work on
other Marques, very professional shop, they will even give you a courtesy wash. If it needs to stay overnight they will keep the vehicle indoors. You will not be disappointed.

Scott at Can-Alignment knows his stuff . He setup my C6 for the track, and it still drives beautifully on the street.

Bennett Chevy in Cambridge on Hespler Road can do a Vette, even if lowered. You can probably find a shop closer but they did a good job with my car and were reasonable.

Update:

Called Scott at Canalignment last week but he was all booked for the next week or so. Took a drive to Woodbridge alignment last Thursday, but there was a note on the shop door saying it would be closed for the next week.

Called Scott back and made an appointment for Today, and I just got back home. I hung around with him and talked while he did the alignment and overall I was very happy with everything, he is a really nice guy.

Thanks for all the advice guys!

Mick

Great to hear that man, but i have a question why do you think you needed alignemnt? any aftermarket suspension products? because i do my own alignment and i checked it 2 weeks ago the factory 10 years old alignement was spot on, i just checked it did not have alignment problem though for teh heck of it. BTW my car is lowered 1" on stock suspension.

I would be more interested to know why you needed alignment though? what suspension mods? big rims/tires? more than 1" lowered? ..so on.

Because i would like to do serious tight suspension mods coming winter.

LOL! Lots of bad reviews!! BUT they were the best around!

Years ago I wanted to make an appointment with them...this required me to take time off work, get the new tires put on, then get the alignment done right away....his wife would not give me an appointment! First come, first serve....and we waited for hours to get my car done.
The have pits, so they can align anything.
I think they are more known for straightening frames, etc.

I think alignment machine technology has changed significantly in the last 10+ years.

I have a few customers with the latest equipment from Bosch. It's $25000. They can attach the 4 corners to your car in the parking lot and via wireless, they can give you an estimate as to how close your alignment is!! The machines computer will tell the tech exactly what to adjust on that model of car...it's FOOL proof.
The shops only limitations would be their drive on rack...a lowered car may not be able to get the nose far enough ahead to get the front tires on the slider pads.

As for my Vette....it will be aligned by one of these Bosch machines once I get new tires next spring!!

Until Mick chimes in maybe I can put my .02 worth.

Even though the car was purchased off of the original owner (approx 70 yrs young) with around 9000 miles and stored in an airport hanger for the last while Mick didn't know the everyday driving history. That and the fact the car was lower approx. 1" and new tires were put on end of last year he thought an alignment was in order.

I asked if he noticed a difference on the drive home and he said "for sure".

Hold that helps Sami.

He pretty much summed it up for me. The car was lowered and I put on new tires, I figured an alignment was in order. I asked Scott if the alignment was off much and he had told me that all 4 corners were pretty off.
