Oh you know I'll be there.

But the Z is another question. Dropped it off this morning to WN to check the brakes. They started to squeal last Thursday.

When my car did that after 10 days of having it WN said all Z51 brakes do that. WTF well they were not going to do anything so i changed pads myself and they never made any noise again.

Hope you have better luck.

I never did get rid of the squeal on mine.. Even upgraded to very expensive pads. And changed the rotors to cross drilled.. Never solved any problems .. Just cleaned out my wallet looking for a fix

I should have read your post before posting a new thread Steve.

That's exactly what they are telling me. i have to live with brake squeal. C'mon that is ridicuclous.

What pads did you end up getting? Looks like I'll be doing a pad change tomorrow, myself.

Thanks.

Stan.

If it's east of Yonge, we're ok. Where did it fall? Not a problem altering the route a little. Instaed of Lakeshore, we'll go to the Queens Quay then right to Rees.

Looks clear to me ?

Concrete falls from Gardiner Expressway

Published On Thu May 10 2012
Alexandra Bosanac
Staff Reporter

For the second time this week, chunks of concrete have fallen from the Gardiner Expressway, this time onto Parkside Dr. near Lake Shore Blvd. W.

No injuries or damage have been reported.

Traffic at Parkside Dr. has been restricted to a single lane in each direction.

A piece of concrete fell from the overpass at Lower Jarvis St. on Monday afternoon.

LOL. Thanks Randy. I was being a bit facetious.

I'll be doing some research to see what I can do. I'll try that brake bledding trickfirst to see what it will do.

And maybe like Richard, to get rid of that squeal, I'll upgrade to a GS.

I've owned about 20 cars over the years now including 2 corvettes, a mustang, and a camaro. I've never had brake squeal unless the pads wore out. Learned something new today.

See you guys tonight at Yorkdale.

Stan they do make squeaky sound but they bite hard, more the softer pads are better stopping distance, stay away from Ceramic brakes, hit the brakes in mississauga and stop at markahm....lol. Get the Z06 pads or stay with what you have.

If you decided to change in anyway, As a pro mechanicjust pay for my gas and you have me there and will install like a pro, been installed brakes prolly millions by now,....lol.

I have Hawks plus pads with factory stock Rotors, it squeaks too however stops on dime, lots of brake dust too who cares just wipe out with a soft towel.....i think still worth it just because they stops pretty good specially i way i drive...lol

I'm heading out now. Should be at Yorkdale by 9. Going to try that bledding trick.

You guys still meet up a LaPaloma before heading to Yorkdale or is it still too early for that?

Sorry to hear there were some hassles last night re: parking.
With Farzan gone, I guess it's time to perk up the HDR with a new rendevous location.

Time for some scouting?
Suggestions?

I think you're right Paul about a new location, last night's swarming by the parking dweebs nad the impending arrival of the tow trucks was a big time bummer.
