Windshields: HUD vs Std?
Hi All,
I've just purchased a 2008 Acadia with HUD and discovered that the standard windshields are $300 however if I have HUD, the price is $680 - Ouch!!
Does anyone have experience with a standard windshield showing the HUD properly, or not?

I installed my own HUD in my ex 02 C5 & the windshield had no effect of any kind on the operation.Back in the day, the somewhat lighter & thinner windshield was a weight thing by GM.If you check the threads on the US side of the forum,much has been posted regarding this question.A standard windshield replacement,when required should work as far as I know.
