very easily, your personalized plate belongs to you so you keep the ownership portion, sign it and sell it off. For reg. plates, just go to the ministry and get them + new sticker of course.

So curious buddy.......why??

If you've never 'used' the personalized plate, it's easy to sell. If you used it and put a sticker on it, there's more to it than just selling it.

Own Choice Plates ( also known as personalized or vanity plates) may be transferred between parents and children.

Transfer of Passenger plates between individuals may be authorized under special circumstances by the legal department of the Ministry Of Transportation. The Donor and Recipient must agree en writing to the transfer, and the Recipient must sign an agreement that he/she will be responsible for any fines and denials that may be posted against the plate in the future because of past infractions.

Buddy ur car is the "ultimate sleeper" with those new blacked out wheels.

It changed the whole look of the car-one of the nicest colour combos I have ever seen, red Z, matte black wheels and matching tips-so sick man!

Yeah, but it can be done. The onus is on the owner to jump through hoops and write a letter of reasoning as to why he wants to transfer them. Then you wait for a decision.

I did it for the guy I sold my C5Z to, ***** barley said thanks and ended up selling the car a year later...never again

On a side note, I read this article last night. The guy turned down a $9 million offer for someone to buy his personalized plate:
