Windsor border crossing
If you have another person in the car, have them check each crossing point just before it's time to make a decision on which way to go.
I don't think Sunday morning will cause you any issues. Travel safe.

I crossed last weekend no issues what so ever .came back threw Sarina again no issues .besides dodging all the blown tires debris and dead deer on the US side .for a country they ate so proud off they sure don't clean the freeways like they do up here
Use the border app if you want, but even busy times at they'll have most or all the booths open and I've never been delayed getting through (knock wood.) Have paperwork ready, yours and the rear window (if you have one) fully down, interior lights on if it's dark, smile, sunglasses off, make eye contact, listen, be honest, clear, collected and concise - through you go. While I miss the simpler days when only occasionally were you asked your driver's license or birth cert - I still really respect and enjoy the freedom the US/Canadian border exemplifies.
Sure it's a long, boring haul, especially south from London. At least the 401 are smooth and well maintained - MUCH- better than the NY/PA or MI Interstate options, specially from Flint and down - yikes!
I'm also more comfortable staying in Canada as long as possible (hey - "stuff" happens) and while some may argue this my expectation and observations are the OPP are more likely be more reasonable than State Troopers targeting someone out of state and unlikely to fight the charge.
Really wish 401 was posted at 130 but too many drivers cannot be trusted even at 100. Still, traffic speeds of 115-120 are common so relax and keep speed fast enough remain vigilant. Using traffic and watching for OPP helps
At least now once you get to Windsor the 401 merges onto the exceptional new ($1.4 billion!
) Herb Gray Parkway. Five minutes later you're on Huron Church, then up and over the Ambassador (you pay on the other side.)A breeze - tried the others but wouldn't bother.
