Not to argue, but I booked around 5:00 PM today, and there were at least 20 rooms left. I made it a point to ask them. You need the info from EOC to get into the blocked off rooms, and special rates.

I wouldn't wait too long, though.

Just saying when I booked our room the lady at the hotel said there was only 1 room left in that block but she also said more rooms could be blocked so I assume John did that. There are rooms available at the Ambassador & other hotels in Kingston but the blocked rooms are a better price.

She mis-spoke/didn't understand. It was 1 more room left that would qualify for the draw. I know this cause John explained I was the last one who booked who qualified, but that there were still 40 rooms left (last Friday that is...)

Btw when I spoke to the hotel rep she mentioned that 219 rooms have been booked so far - and the hotel only holds 245 rooms... so rooms are going fast.

You really should respect the organiser, John Price and pay him the $20 registration fee so he can continue to plan this event for success. Try not to circumvent the process by sharing the P-Word with those who have not registered....

As far as I understand the first activity is Fri. night downtown. This is why most will be heading down on Fri. morning and staying 2 nights. Seems to me Sat. is the big day. John would only allow us to pay the $ 20.00 for registration as he told me "Dinners and tours will be confirmed once 2018 prices are set by the province" in the new year .

Just booked our room for Friday and Saturday night. Really looking forward to this event.

Have to send my funds to and registration form to the organizer. I appreciate his and the clubs effort to put this on. Lots of work.

The room is booked and the registration being sent in. From my conversation with the hotel, it sounds like it is selling out quickly. If you're thinking of going, you may want to book your room and not be disappointed.
