I've driven to Kingston and the surrounding area many times, and it always gets ugly eastbound where the collectors merge into the express, unless you are driving way off-peak hours. Friday's are the worst.

Maybe we can find a meeting place past that point, and continue on from there. Cruising in heavy traffic is not that much fun, even though sometimes necessary.

Yes, there's nothing planned in Kingston for Sunday, but there is the the 'Dream Vettes" show, presented by Corvettes of Durham on Sunday in Oshawa, so I'm thinking of stopping there on the way back; I've booked both Friday and Saturday at the Ambassador.

I'm looking forward to the Kingston event for sure.

As a suggestion, the On Route before Port Hope would be a good easterly meeting point as we would be past the 35/155 cut off and some of the cottage traffic. Plus coffee and washrooms. Its about 2 hours to Kingston from there. Meeting anywhere before 35/115 after 12:00 means stop and go traffic on most Fridays.

I'm going to try to leave by 10:00 AM, as long as Management agrees. Traffic is guaranteed to suck if I leave past 11:00. The On Route would be a good place to meet up. Don't know yet if CCO is going to organize anything in terms of traveling together. I'll ask at the next meeting.

FYI There was an update email sent from the organizers with new information. There are over 200 cars registered at this time.

Got an email update from the organizer outlining the different activities. Definitely interested in the Friday and Saturday morning activities, but on Saturday afternoon we are on our own to do sightseeing activities. I’m not too keen on those, so wondering if anyone else is planning on something different.

i plan on attending the dinner Saturday and leaving in the evening.

Realistically, I won't be able to leave until 10:00. That would put us at the reroute about 11:00. Looks like I won't make the meet, but I'll pull into the parking area to see if anyone is around. Should get me into Kingston around 13:00.
