Cruise for SickKids - Sunday, Sept 16, 2018 9am
UPDATES:
My family is once again participating in a SickKids fundraiser. This year, the campaign is called GET LOUD. I know a lot of folks on here who know EXACTLY how to do that!!!- Lunch menu and cost in Post #17 below.
- Hate doing this but once we hit 60 people the restaurant won't be able to accommodate the extras. Will figure something out though. Will keep tabs of who responded first and give priority based on that should anyone not be able to make it.
- See Posts #22 and 23 for date confirmation Raffle details and prizes.
- See Post #29 for a request to confirm attendance.
- See Post #30 for additional Raffle Prizes.
- See Post #36 for a Special Draw ($700+ Value).
- See Post #51 for additional Raffle Prizes.
In support of this, I am organizing my 3rd Cruise for SickKids and hope that this great community will again come out and support the cause:
Date: Sunday, September 16th (rain date Saturday, September 15th)
Departure Location: Woodbine Park and Ride (at the end of Hwy 404 at the GO Park and Ride straight through the lights where 404 ends)
Departure Time: 9:00am
Details: The route is modified from the last 2 years to change things up a little. Here is the general plan:
1. Head up to Rubharb Restaurant/Boshkung Brewery (http://rhubarbhaliburton.com) north of Minden. We should arrive for lunch around 12:30 and includes a rest stop along the way.
2. After lunch, we will head back south to Buttertarts ‘N More in Lindsay where the cruise will end. This section should be about 2 hours plus a rest stop.
I will send Google Maps links to participants a couple of days prior to the cruise to allow everyone to enjoy the route without the stress of getting separated. Will do my best to keep the group together regardless!
Last year, Forum/HDR group donations and raffles raised $1565 let’s see if we can beat that this year!
Please donate through the following link and click on “Donate” or I can submit your cash donation for you:
http://www.support.sickkidsfoundatio...nal&fr_id=1170
If anyone would like to donate raffle a prize, please PM me – your support would be recognized and very much appreciated.
If you are able to come, please post up here so that I can share numbers with the restaurant. I am awaiting details on menu and pricing and will share it when I have it. Thank you for taking the time to read this and more importantly for your support.
Meeting point for those who would like to cruise up 404 together - LA Fitness at Woodbine and Hwy 7 - Northeast corner (8555 Woodbine Avenue, Markham) - leave here at 8:15am:
Updates will be done at the top of this post over the coming weeks.

3 weeks to go bump.
Please let me know if you will be coming as seating is maxed at 60 people. Should be receiving the meal menu this week. I expect it to be in the $25 range.
2nd post in this thread lists out who I have as attending. Please let me know if I missed you.
And please do remember to donate to the fundraiser at:

Faraz, Rhubarb has a pizza oven/take out in the ground level walk out (just around the side of the building) they also have the outside screened in porch seating area. Wonder if they could somehow use those two options if there is an overflow. Just a thought, maybe self serve type of thing if they are having trouble getting staff to cover. The kids will have all headed home for school so that is possible.
