Default I couldnt help myself .... I just had to....

take out my car today.
It all started with me just wanting to look at it , after not seeing it all winter, the day was sunny, etc
Next thing you know, I started it up.... called the insurance company and then took it out for 3hrs this afternoon.
It felt so damn good to be behind the wheel, just driving to no where in particular
Had a grin from ear to ear, after a winter of hibernation...….. Yeah Baby !!

I pulled my 74 out on Saturday to move it from one bay to another. Had to race around the neighborhood first though.
Can't wait for summer.
Mine has been off the road for 2 summers while I worked on it.

Been 2 months since I last drove mine. I don't know. I'm just not missing it so much anymore. There was a time I couldn't wait to get behind the wheel. Now, meh! Think it might be time to let someone else enjoy a well taken care of triple black 6sp 'vert.

I know the feeling Shawn... I had to go in the car to get the ownership for sticker renewal and I couldn't help just sit there for a few minutes. I was hoping this weekend would finally be time - insurance goes back on March 16th. However, the weather is not cooperating... though I'm still hopeful Sunday is warmer than the 2 degrees they are calling for. Can't wait for driving season.

Thanks to your recommendation Joe, I went to Burning Rubber Tire and Speed Shop in Oakville to have my ACS Composite XL Rock Guards and MPSS Run Flats installed yesterday also.
Great company to deal with , very competitive pricing on tires and they use the best equipment (Hunter ) to install tires.
These tires are hard to install and there are many horror stories out there , where rims have been scratched by installers using inferior equipment.
Check them out if you are looking for Tires etc

www.burning-rubber.ca Ask for Chris 647-988-2876 or Daryl 647-773-2021

I think it's time for you to get into a C7 Stan, that will renew your enthusiasm

I didn't get to drive mine for almost two months, but I was able to take it out for a nice long drive on Monday evening, and I'll definitely take it out on the weekend. We're supposed to get a lot of rain and warmer temps over the next 2 days, so that should definitely clean up the roads in a lot of areas.

👍🏼. Movie Muscle recommended them to me, so just paying it forward. Can’t wait to put some miles on my new PS4s.

I haven't been sold on the C7 Pat. It's ok, don't get me wrong, just not my cup of tea. If I was to switch today, it would more likely be the Audi R8 than anything else. But maybe the C8 if the price is reasonable but like everyone else, just waiting on the reveal for that.

But I think my problem is I've gotten too lazy. With my car stored at my parents house up north, it's a PITA to go up there for the car. That's why I haven't gone for any drives in the last 2 months. When I had access to my car it was different. I just got in the car and drove.it.

I know this feeling - when my Z06 was at my friends parents garage (for 2 winters) while my home build process was happening, there's a 'disconnect' .....even though it was close to my parents house..........now my home is done and my ZR1 sleeps well in its new home. I get it, believe me

have you sat or spent any amount of time in a C7 Stan? They are noticeably tighter inside than s C5 or C6. So in addition to styling, you might find the C7 cramped inside. At least that has been my experience.

Hey Jack. Yeah I was in one at Reif's Winery the last year they did the show, then up at Wasaga when we "escorted" one of the cars for that show and then again last year at the Auto Show. Truthfully I didn't find it that much different than the C6 other than the visuals. But I haven't tried those competition seats. Just the regular GT seats. Overall, the C7 is a "Meh, it's alright" car for me.

Stan, i honestly dont think it is the car for you, c7 is much smaller cabin, you may think it is ok around town, but you driver a few hundered kms, you would ask yourself, why did i do this. You would be cramped up like a dog and football.. its ok for a guy 5ft and 100 lbs.
jmho.

I know the styling of the C7 envokes a different reaction from each of us - good or bad. But, it’s hard to ignore 650 HP.

LOL

It is tighter inside, even I noticed and I'm only 5'6" and a half. Wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me though, but I wonder why they did that?

I'm a little bigger than that and I fit in just fine too.
