I need to put a new top on my 88 vert, cloth, can't decide if I can or should put a new one in with a glass rear window instead of a vinyl one?
Storing the car every winter in the garage on a lift with a corvette car cover over it, it is not a collector car, it's driven.
The top has stretched and billows up when driven at speed, looks ridiculous!
Is it better to store it for seven months with the top down in it's usual position when driven and put the hard top on? Will this make any difference to it's aging and stretching?
Concerned the cover on it for seven months will aid in the stretching over time?
It is a thick cover maybe buy a lighter one!
The plastic window fogged up quickly, can't see a thing out of it now, luckily I don't drive with the top up!

Reason: add
Get the glass window as it will not fog up or crack due to the sun. I always stored my vert with the top up that way you don't get wrinkles in the fabric.
