How Often Do You Wax?
A good Saturday Poll.
How often do you wax your Vette? My initial coat of Zaino has lasted for 3 1/2 mos. Vette is outside all the time. Zaino is still good but going to wax again today.

Do you mean wax specifically? Cause I don't "wax" at all...I Zaino!! Once a month a little Z6 Gloss Enhancer and then Z2 for protection and deep shine! Maybe two coats, depends on my time.

How about once a year? My six year old Mag Red C5 looked like new when I sold it. Maybe the extra expensive paint holds up better? My DSOM is 4 months old and waxed 1 and 1/2 times already.

Museum Delivery advice on Waxing
I just picked up my DSOM on Feb 18th from the Museum. BTW, all the cars sitting out there on display looked fabulous!!! Of course I thought mine looked the best, but that's why I ordered DSOM in the first place.
Anyway, I asked my guide, Mr. Larry McCool, when I could start waxing my vehicle (I already had the Zaino show kit sitting on my table back home). Mr. McCool was pretty emphatic that I should not wax for 60 to 90 days. In fact, he reiterated the 60-90 day period again before I drove off.
I'm pretty disciplined, so much like driving the first 500 miles at 55 mph or less (it only took 10 hours whilst driving back to So. Cal), I'm gonna sit here lookin at the Zaino box for 2 more months.

GF is "girlfriend" (NOT "gay friend"!!!)
And a "Brazilian wax" is a type of bikini wax...Think "landing strip".

I like to do it once every 3 or 4 weeks. Not that it really needs it but to check for additional dings, rock chips, and scratches.
Those rocks chips drive me crazy because there is nothing you can really do about it. Just have to try to minimize it.

There are benefits to waiting.

If the paint process has changed/improved and it's OK to Zaino coming off the production line, so be it. I'm sure Mr. Zaino would have you believe that. That data does not happen to jive with the first hand info I recieved from my museum delivery.

Really intended to apply the Zaino more often than once every 3 months, but too much rain and not enough will power.
