Best Tire "Shine" brand?
#41
I agree that the application is as or more important than what you put on. I liked Hot Shine, didn't like an Eagle One product (forget the name). I just got Z16 and used it once.
However, it wasn't a fair comparison as I sprayed the other products on and if I didn't let it sit overnight before driving, I got the product all over the car. When I put the Z16 on, I used Eagle One's Tire Swipes instead of spraying. Here is a link to the Swipes:

The seem to help put the product on the tire better. Good luck.

This also comes in an aeresol, which is what I use, but it's very hard to find. Down to my last can and can't find any replacement.
It has very slight sling off and really gives a gloss shine...goes good with the chromes!

the turtle wax stuff is the ONLY way to go...not too expensive, smells good, no fling, lasts forever, and if you bump it later, it doesn't come off on your clothes, nice shine without being "fake"

I like the satin look with a little sheen so I use Griots Vinyl & Rubber dressing. http://www.griotsgarage.com/catalog....1002&SKU=11169
When I head to shows, I use Meguiars Hot Shine. Apply to foam applicator pad and then onto tire. No sling.

Appreciate the tip. This is good advice to share with newbies. I experience much the same. Keep the thread and just copy and paste.

Charlene,
I used a curved applicator sponge you can get at any auto parts store.
Using the applicator will greatly reduce/eliminate any "sling" off you may get from just spraying it on the tire...

I recently tried the Dupont Teflon Tire Shine and I was very impressed!
I sprayed it on a curved applicator and applied it to the tire and after about 15 minutes it dries to the touch so it cannot sling off of your tires.
I suggest that you give it a try
