Interior Cleaning Tips Thread
I really need some ~~ the shipping process really dirtied my cashmere interior -- scuffs, dirty seats, etc. Please recommend ways to get the scuffs off of the kickpanels, door panels, and clean the leather seats.....thanks in advance.
I remember reading something recently about a Mr Clean cleaner that works on scuffs well?
Someone else originally posted about Mr. Clean Magic Eraser in the cleaning aisle of your grocery store, but I've used it and it's great.
2 white eraser sized blocks come in a box. You wet one and just light rubbing gets rid of scuff marks on the door. Keep the eraser and use it over and over again.
I did notice just yesterday that Wal-Mart sells a box with 4 in the box in the detailing section of their automotive parts.
The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works great for the kickpanels but it's too
abrasive for much else. I recommend Zaino's leather cleaner and Zaino's leather in a bottle for the rest.

What do mean by "shipping process"? Dealer delivery? Dealer should clean the car, free. And, although (or maybe BECAUSE) Chevy uses a lower grade of Siberian cow for its leather, be very careful using anything on the seat sitting surface (the rest is vinyl -- you can probably microwave it without harm) that has detergents or solvents not designed for leather. Won't show up now, but in 6 to 12 months, your seats could suffer discoloration and cracking.
