I would not recommend aluminum polish for stock polished rims. It may be to abrasive for the clear coat. Also stay away from stiff brushes it can also leave scratches. You should treat the wheels the same way you wash and wax the painted surfaces of your car.

I'm assuming that your wheels do not have a clear-coat and are beginning to dull on you. If this is the case, the absolute best aluminum polish on the market is Nuvite NuShine II. First use their Grade "C" followed then by the finer Grade "S". We use this product on our customers aircraft with highly superior results. The black bid is mine

Your stock polished wheels are clear coated, so using a polish like Mothers may end up scratching the clear. I would just wash well with soap and water, then apply a good car wax on the wheels. Should keep them looking good for many years.

I also have an '04 CE with polished wheels. I wash the wheels and pipes after the body, using a terry towel and Zaino Z1, and then rinse with the hose. They still gleam.
Thanks for the suggestion about waxing them, will start this weekend.

I use NXT and liquid detailer, just like I do on the car. I wash or brush of the brake dust first to avoid scratching the clear coat.

my stock polished have about 50k of dirt and grime and i cleaned them yesterday using this and some soapy water .. i've pretty much figured out
a way to get them to shine like this everytime.
[this was before]
[this was after]
dont spray the wheels with water, first spray your wheels with the chem. (dowse it good, think of it 1/4 the bottom per wheel) let it sit for about 30 seconds, spray it with water, and then go through the wheels wiping them off with a cotton hand mitten (use one of these so you can really get into the grooves) then spray it off again with water and then dry them off when you're done washing the rest of your car
